WELCOME
QUICK LINKS navigation faq world moonblessings

Welcome to Prismatica, a panfandom sex-friendly sci-fi/fantasy game for you to hopefully indulge in all of your RP needs. Here are some important things to keep track of this upcoming month and the beginning of next:

01

Our next event will start on July 24th, but you are free to backdate and backlog for as long as you need. The OOC plotting post will be going up on [community profile] prismaticaooc on July 23rd!

We will not be making an official log for the event. Instead, we encourage others to post their top-levels or links to relevant network/log posts on the upcoming event post. However, we ask that you refrain from RPing on the OOC community. The event post will merely serve as a directory for all player posts related to the event. Please see last month's OOC event post for reference.

02

Whether or not you want to keep TDM threads canon is up to you! You may also handwave your character’s initial arrival so they can plunge directly into plot things if you wish.

03

Please look at our calendar for reference as to when moon cycles fall! Since it is something that will happen regularly, we will not have a log up for that, but your characters can react accordingly via the network or in their own logs if you wish. There might be times when the moonblessings overlap with events, so please keep that in mind. If you would like more information on the moonblessings, please read the moonblessing page. For any additional questions, feel free to drop us a line on the FAQ.

Now for actual introductions! Please fill out the form below and paste it into a comment for CR/plotting needs:

Ahahaha... I made the fool's mistake of finding some drafts of original work from a decade ago and realized that the side character was way more entertaining than the leads. It's a vampire story in Victorian London, but the cowboy always had the weird magic instead of being undead.

Your Rey sounds awesome-- extra so since you're actually publishing. I hope you enjoy my man. He's a college Galaxy Brain moment finally realized for the public.
circumitus: I've downloaded some messenger lesbians like to use because some girl wanted to flirt. (finally done it...)

Holy crap, as someone who originally wrote the first draft of Rey's story as far back as 2001, Iiii feel you on that moment of looking at your old work. On one hand it's interesting to see what stuck after all those years but you still can't help but cringe at yourself.

He seems like a delight. I'm excite to have him here!

Oh my god, and I thought my overly stuffy babblings from the 'Watson' regarding the 'Holmes' of my story in 2009 -- of which Marshall here is neither (he's more like a non antagonistic Moran tbh-- a very intriguing side character/man for hire)-- was terrifying enough! I don't know how you survived the read through tbh... it's harder the older the drafts are!
circumitus: ...to put that bottom in the air? (do you solemnly swear...)

God, yeah. Especially when they were written when you were 14 and consistently sleep-deprived. I mean, I don't regret it or plan to throw any of my old crap away because I think all that experience helped me into becoming the writer I am now, but it's 500% cringe-worthy to look back on a version of yourself that didn't understand contractions and basic grammar. Hell, certain characters' names were made due to misspellings that my wee little self didn't know were wrong and I just, you know. Kept them, lol.

That's still awesome that you even have them. Most of my early works are stashed on computers so old I'm not sure they can start up anymore... like that 19 year old iMac from, like, 2001 or something. Even if they're cringe with the 20-20 vision of hindsight, those are treasures.
circumitus: AKA the most important icon i will ever have. (boop that snoot)

After experiencing the pains of losing files, I've developed a lifelong habit of never deleting anything, backing everything up, and always transferring over harddrive data whenever I get a new computer. I even still have some of my old notebooks from my preteen days before I'd gotten our first desktop. If nothing else it's fun to look back on your old stuff and see how far you've come!
