On the eleventh day of the moonrisen month, the shimmering lavender glow of the Iris moon twinkles across the land.

Dancing lights in the waves bring forth bioluminescent starlight to the surfaces of water pools, a calming starfall cast within the ripples. In the forests, the deer and rabbits turn to the moon in reverence, each playful step taken blossoming the land beneath. For Iris casts colour over where once it was lost, bringing fertility and hope, and recovery to that which had felt all but worn out.

In Iris’ nurturing touch is the kiss of life and the embrace that soothes. Those that embody Iris’ blessing celebrate the love and unity in all that surrounds them.

It is said that the wolves howl at night to honor Sanguis, the god of the red moon, for it is he who gave Prismals the gift of strength. Strength is not the power to crush one’s foes. It is fighting in the face of fear. It is loving in the face of death. To become Sanguis is to value life so much that you wear it wet and red on your skin.
