Autumn starts to seep through the planet as the weather begins to cool. A comfortable breeze ruffles your clothing, and the eager twittering of summer birds has been replaced with the sounds of squirrels and other creatures vigorously foraging about. The first signs of fall are rapidly transforming the city as browning trees start to shed their leaves en masse, resulting in the streets and sidewalks having to be vigorously swept up by Swiffy bots. Pumpkins and apples are now the markets’ most popular harvests, and plenty of locations are turning into pleasant autumn-themed hangout spots. Bring a friend or a date and enjoy that pumpkin prism latte!

It’s surreptitious at first. Something you hardly notice until you spot it out of the corner of your eye. A few pumpkins start to move on their own, seemingly scuttling down the sidewalks and following you as you run your errands. The closer they get to you, the more you hear something that sounds like the beating of small bird wings inside of them along with “squee” sounds.
If this series of tiny noises strikes you as familiar, that’s because it may not be your first encounter with these creatures. Some of you may recall these naughty pixies called Dreamweavers, who once let your fantasies be broadcast. Thoughts of vengeance or anxiety may run through your mind, but don’t fret! This time, they’re not here to cause trouble.
A The Dreamweavers plead for the Moonblessed’s help and will go through great lengths to get it. The more you ignore them, the more they will pester you with their magic. They might turn you into the size of Thumbelina, grant you dazzling rainbow hair, or glimmering long, painted nails with color and coating that won’t come off no matter how hard you scrub.
Should you listen, they promise lots of gifts in return. Yes, gifts! Of course, you know pixies aren’t always honest so you may choose to ignore them. However, responding to them negatively only angers them, prompting them to use silver dust that grants you extremely horrible luck for days until you apologize. Your crush might not notice your advances, or something always goes wrong with your wooing attempts. Do you have a secret snack stash? It’s always gone now. Each time you check, a pile of cockroaches is feasting on it. Birds might suddenly decide to make you their favorite toilet. The list goes on.

As long as there’s at least one Moonblessed rejecting their cries for help, Dreamweavers will continue flooding Lunatia to pester everybody. Some pixies will even cast a spell to cause you to walk endlessly down a street without reaching your destination or cause your apartment to suddenly turn upside down. As always, this might be sated temporarily with a little moonlacing!

Despite all the ruckus, your sleep or resting cycle is undisturbed from the Dreamweavers’ antics. Rather, you find yourself sinking deeper into your dreams than ever before. Even those averse to sleep suddenly can slip into a sound slumber within minutes.
You start having vivid haunted visions of the past or of your greatest fears. However, you won’t stir at all even if someone attempts to wake you, remaining practically comatose. Some may experience suddenly being pursued by a strange cycloptic creature, whose eerie steps rattle through the depths of your soul as your nightmares continue.
B When you wake up, a visceral pain jolts through your body. Large wounds and bruises now appear all over your body. You may even find blood all over your clothes, and your body might have lost its strength. Chroma will have to be applied in critical doses to heal you back up, but you may be too shaken up to call for help.
More and more cases of people including locals with unexplained wounds appear as the days go on, and soon clinics across the city are filled with injured patients. The Lunatian government will warn everyone not to fall asleep for as long as possible while investigations are ongoing.
Unfortunately, something is making that difficult, and you just can’t fight the exhaustion no matter how hard you try. Thankfully, caffeine and good company help you stay awake. Prismals are doing their part to contribute by playing loud dance music across the streets. Dreamweavers will frequently honk car horns especially in late hours.
More and more cases of people including locals with unexplained wounds appear as the days go on, and soon clinics across the city are filled with injured patients. The Lunatian government will warn everyone not to fall asleep for as long as possible while investigations are ongoing.

▶ We Need to Go Deeper

When the Dreamweavers finally manage to garner enough attention, they will tell everyone that something frightening has invaded their domain. As their name implies, these pixies mostly live inside the dreams of living beings, only occasionally popping out to visit when it strikes their fancy.
In the realm of dreams, an unknown distortion had appeared a few days ago, releasing an abyssal creature they call Dreameater. The Dreameater has been rapidly destroying their kind in order to stop them from creating pleasant dreams and fantasies, leaving only nightmares in their wake.
To defeat this abomination, Moonblessed will have to enter inside one another’s dreams with the help of pixie magic.
C Any Moonblessed may volunteer to become a Dreamer. The Dreamers will act as a guide around their own dreamscapes. They’ll also be able to provide some aid if they have a strong enough control on their imagination. During their sleep, they may stay somewhere safe to be looked over by someone they trust or they can stay in one of the clinics to have a Lunatian take care of them.
The Divers heading inside the dreams must protect the Dreamer at all cost. If the Dreamer dies in their sleep, they will also die in reality along with all of the Divers with them.
The Dreameater roams across people’s imaginations, existing within multiple dreams at once. It can only be truly defeated after every one of its existence is slain across the dreamscapes. As a monster born from nightmares, it thrives off negative energies and becomes more powerful the more the Dreamer is in agony. This abomination will purposely take the shape of anything that will deeply scar the Dreamer, meaning its abilities depend on what form it will take. Pleasant memories or experiences will need to shine to stop it from causing too much damage or chaos!
The Divers heading inside the dreams must protect the Dreamer at all cost. If the Dreamer dies in their sleep, they will also die in reality along with all of the Divers with them.

Once the Dreameater is defeated, the perpetrator reveals themselves in everyone’s dreams later that night. He declares himself as Aracht, the sleeping (but now awakened) one-eyed giant.
Aracht: Beast of SlothYawn... A thousand years already? Aww... I’m out of Chroma again... Hope you don’t mind if I take some from you. It’s okay... The Dreameater got it aaall while you were fast asleep... Hehehe.
Yawn... Destroying the world is a pain. If everyone could give me their Chroma, that would be nice... Saves me the work... Zzz...
Aracht then exits your dream, leaving you confused, and you wake up in a cold sweat the morning after.
As promised, the Dreamweavers will send their gifts as a reward for restoring everyone’s peaceful dreams. The pixies will bless a boon of great luck (the exact opposite of Prompt A) and an extra satisfying dream that night that might be shared between one or more Moonblessed. You may need to change the sheets the next morning. One can only hope your neighbors didn’t hear anything, though we can’t say much about whoever you dreamt with or about.

LUCK ▶ The degree of bad and good luck is left to player discretion. The bad luck effect may be as harmless as accidentally dropping your ice cream cone on the road.
PAIN ▶ Similar to above, this is also left to player discretion. It may be as minor as receiving a small set of scratches or simply playing out the exhaustion if this is preferred.
DREAMEATER ▶ As stated on the log, its abilities depend on what form it will take. A specific character may be played out as the Dreameater long as they’re not currently in the game. Deceased characters are allowed. Playing an original villain is allowed.

Smut Preferences: not sure if applicable for this event...!? we're down for whoever and whatever - with the way things have been going i just play this stuff by ear now!
Log Plans: so i'm back for an event after sitting out the last two! i do plan on slapping a post together tonight or tomorrow to hit up each prompt:
(HEY! LISTEN!) i'm sort of on the fence for whether or not ryuji's gonna immediately play along? his encounters with the dreamweavers the first-time around were a little annoying, a little funny, and mostly just harmless overall? plus, with all his canonical bad luck i'm not sure which outcome's funnier: to either amplify it or give the guy a break and have everything go his way. feel free to pitch in and convince me! however it goes he'll obviously be helping out in the end anyway.
(NIGHTMARE ON LUNATIA STREET) i just watched the 2010 elm street remake, are you kidding me (which for the record i think was Pretty Okay, the '84 one's still better but that's neither here nor there). anyway i think this gives me the potential to explore bits and pieces of... ryuji's questionable past... like issues with his abusive/alcoholic dad, for those who are canonblind, or his Track Team Trauma (happy to elaborate for those who don't know it!), things of this sort, or just fighting off the monster because lord knows i love this kid but i want to put him through a lot of crap, too. haven't gotten the chance since i've been on autopilot thanks to Life.
ryuji's used to pulling all-nighters too, to be fair, but like i said, i kinda want him to have a Bad Time or freak anyone around him out :')
(WE NEED TO GO DEEPER) being a diver seems like a more fitting role than being a dreamer, but i can probably tag out the latter for you if your character's gone to dive? i dunno, let's talk about it. regardless ryuji (or skull, but you know) is totally gonna get his hands dirty wailing on a dreameater. feel free to volunteer!
as for wrapping it up with a happy ending (i see what you did there, mods), if you're into it i can play it out with whoever, but i don't think raunchy stuff's on the forefront of my mind for this event. still, it could be fun, and i contradict myself all the time! let's talk about that too.
