▶ EVENT.018
Well after the decrystallization of Calanthe, people continue to report sightings of “phantom” marine life around Lunatia. With it comes a concerning increase of spontaneous asphyxiations in the area, in which victims are strangled by so-called phantoms until they are rendered unconscious. In response, Lunar Scientia opens recruitment for capable explorers to investigate Calanthe and find the source of these phenomena.
Unfortunately, the weather is not on anyone's side. A heavy storm starts racking Lunatia with record-high rainfall. Windows may crack or shatter from the sheer force of winds. Lightning decorates the sky, delivering large claps of thunder that call you awake from your slumber. Lunar Scientia sends all Moonblessed a message: the investigation is postponed until the storm subsides.
Soon, the flood rises high enough for Prismals to witness mechanical nautical beasts from an era long gone swimming past their skyscrapers, their metallic tentacles bursting through the walls to strangle all those within reach.
▶ Can’t Touch This
08/25 - 08/31 | top
A soak in the rain renders both Prismals and Moonblessed powerless in a matter of minutes, draining the Chroma in their bodies and perhaps even devices. They will no longer have access to any supernatural powers or abilities, granted by their Moonblessing or otherwise. Only moonlacing can improve a Moonblessed’s condition, but only enough remove their fatigue. Their powers will not return.
A As the storm rages on, an illusion of the Iris moon replaces the sun at noon, its new colors a swirl of onyx and amethyst as it bathes Lunatia in an eerie purple light. Moonlacing now drains energy and Chroma, causing Moonblessed to feel excruciating pain whenever they touch. Those who wish to become intimate will find difficulty in achieving arousal or relief. The Lunar Scientia catches wind of this and warns all Moonblessed to avoid touching one another and stay safe and dry. Swimming in nanobot-infested waters doesn’t sound like a good idea right now. The moon and its effects will last until the end of the month.
Those who are able to investigate the rainwater will find that it contains ancient octopus-like nanotechnology that feeds on its victims like parasites. If flushed out of the body or tampered with in any way, the nanobots will release a violent, near-lethal electric shock.
Who is controlling these machines big and small, and why are they doing this? The mystery spurs the Lunar Scientia to search for answers. Together with fellow tech-savvy Moonblessed, they study the unfamiliar technology...

▶ Get in the KRAKEN, Shinji!
08/30 | top
Days later, the storms only intensify. The metallic nautical beasts position themselves at the edges of Lunatia and float still. Their circuits suddenly light up with a purple glow, and they begin to chant in an arcane tongue. Then, with an ear-shattering pitch, beams of light fire from their heads and into the sky, all intersecting at the center of Lunatia.
When the silence arrives, so does their sovereign: Queen Tempeste of the Vierge Kingdom. Her voice is broadcast across all channels and devices in Lunatia as she descends into the waters, never losing its clarity.
Queen TempesteWretched creatures favored by the moons! Nay... Mindless pawns of the Mother Goddess. Your beloved Mother called me a blasphemer. She scorned me with Her Beasts, sealed my kingdom away and banished my people to the Iris moon until we were lost to memory.
But what, pray tell, was wrong with my legacy? My people have tamed nature, vanquished death, and traveled across the universe. We no longer needed a god... nor whatever She claims to be. That arrogant Goddess simply couldn’t stand it!
In the name of Iris and Vierge, I’ll avenge my people and finish what I started. KRAKEN units, initialize annihilation!
B The Krazy Killing Enemy Neutralizers (KRAKEN) have a name that leaves much to the imagination, but their enemies won’t be able to dwell on that for long. The same metallic beasts from earlier swim and gather around Tempeste, transforming into a gigantic mobile suit of tentacled robotic armor. Using her, she terrorizes the city as she marches not towards Magister Scientiae Alcmene, Lunatia’s head of state, but the rulers she is more familiar with — the family of Queen Elara.
However, not all KRAKEN units follow her command. The Lunar Scientia and their tech-savvy Moonblessed recruits from Prompt A successfully hack a number of KRAKEN units submerged in the flood. However, only Moonblessed are able to enter and pilot them with their Chroma. Each KRAKEN unit requires two pilots — one to maneuver the unit and another to fire beams and move its battle tentacles. They’re easy to use as well — both pilots are hooked up to the unit via neural sensors, enabling the pilot to control the machine with their mind. However, they might also be able to control each other’s thoughts... Ideally, this would allow the pilots to move in sync, but this might not go smoothly for pilots who can’t cooperate.
Use these KRAKEN units to take Tempeste and her tentacle mecha down, but take care not to destroy public property and affect innocent civilians!

Lyestella and Vulpus will arrive after hearing the pleas of the Lunatians and Moonblessed from afar but are surprised by what they find. Tempeste’s mobile suit lays on top of a crushed building, cockpit open as its pilot raises her arms and some tentacles in surrender.
The two gods explain the situation to Tempeste, who mistakenly believed the Mother Goddess controlled Lunatia.
Queen Tempeste
Why didn't you say so sooner?! How embarrassing.
…Well, I suppose the Prismals of this era aren’t as mindless as I thought. The Mother Goddess would have never allowed a victory sans, you know, deus ex machina… Now that I’ve been around the city, it’s rather advanced, isn’t it? It’s not the future I envisioned, but the quality of life is far better… Thank goodness.
What did you say, Vulpus? We won? What do you mean, not exactly? Oh, wipe that handsome smirk off your face, you stupid sea cucumber! You may be fit, but as a proper deity of Cordis, you’re absolutely useless!
This won’t do. If I'm going to take revenge on those Beasts, we ought to do things properly.

After the stubborn Queen Tempeste surrenders, she finally allows the Moonblessed passage into the Viergian underwater city of Calanthe. This beautiful technologically-advanced kingdom lies several kilometers below the water’s surface and requires specialized breathing apparatuses to reach. The Lunar Scientia provides this to all merry adventurers who wish to visit in the form of modified LIFE suits, streamlined for underwater use.
The Viergian kingdom itself consists of magical crystalline dome-shaped barriers that shimmer from afar and are furnished with explicitly more advanced tech than those of Lunatia. The interiors can read your mood and respond in kind. Examples include shifting the lighting of your apartment space with playful colors if you’re feeling flirty or providing nostalgic images on the wall or ceiling if you are homesick. The different domes are connected by underwater see-through tubes that serve as tunnels from one sector to the next. They are also guarded well by kelpie horses and populated by Vierge jellyfish who can, with the help of Viergean nanotechnology, transmit messages straight to your mind. No longer hostile to the Moonblessed, they are quite friendly and chatty once you get to know them!
Instead of answering the Moonblesseds’ many questions, Tempeste curtly directs them to the famous Viergian Aquatic Theater. The jellyfishes perform their shows with interpretive motions of their bodies and tentacles in order to weave tales from the past. Attendees are able to share tiny pods where they can breathe easily, customized with warm seats that offer comfortable vibrating massages. The pods can seat up to four and give everyone a good view of the stage where you can enjoy a luxury raw oyster dinner, spicy pan-fried octopus with vegetables, white cream fish chowder, and premium seaweed champagne or freshly prepared starfruit juice for those below 18.
C As the show begins, the Viergians share with you the true tale of the Seven Beasts of the Calamity as a result of the alliance’s completed reunion. A few lucky audience members may notice their bodies undergoing a temporary nanobot-induced transformation, gyrating and moving about while under the jellyfishes’ control. You have your choice of becoming:
As you become these Beasts, you also temporarily embody their sin. Never had a temper before? As Basti, you do now!
The tale depicts a group of ancient Prismals praying and chanting feverishly as their bodies gradually turn into the Beasts. Who are these Prismals? The new generation doesn’t know, but the Viergeans bore witness to it all as the world’s ancient record keepers and progenitors of technology.
As the Beasts start to tear through the entire planet, the Vierge are damned to the ocean’s depths before they are encased in crystal for centuries. The show ends with rousing tentacled applause as everyone is bid to enjoy the rest of the city.

Queen Tempeste meets with the Moonblessed a while after the show. She hopes the performance has enlightened you. Although she is inclined toward the sciences, she believes the arts are also crucial in the Prismals’ and Moonblessed’s next steps toward the future.
As further apology, Tempeste brings up a holographic interface with the wave of her hand and taps on a few buttons on the screen. You feel a surge of life course through your veins as Chroma returns to you, and a pleasant (or gross, it’s hard to say) tingling across your skin. Tempeste uses her nanotechnology once more to amplify all Moonblessing-related traits and original powers in the Moonblessed regardless of the current cycle to make up for all that time spent without touching. This will also amplify Chroma production to a degree the Lunar Scientae has never seen before. A blessing or a curse? You decide.
The nanobots automatically deactivate and leave your person in a week, the effects disappearing along with them. The moons and sun appear normal to you again, too.
▶ NOTES
ANCIENT NANOBOTS ▶ The ancient nanotechnology runs on Chroma which it siphons from surrounding organisms. Tampering with the technology is impossible; all attempts will be met with a near-lethal zap. Whether or not your character loses Chroma money and how much money is lost is up to you. The loss of powers or supernatural abilities may be tailored to affect your character. For example, a robotic character may experience internal errors or lose access to certain functions. The moon and sky are illusions; to those not carrying the nanobots, the sky appears as it normally should.
KRAKEN UNITS/MECHANICAL NAUTICAL BEASTS ▶ These huge robots are made with ancient technology and Chroma-fortified material that can withstand even the strongest of blasts. Hacking them will not be possible until Prompt B. It is possible to pilot the KRAKEN units manually without the neural sensors. A pilot will only be able to control their co-pilot as long as they are hooked up to the KRAKEN. As always, please ask for player permission before controlling their character.
THEATER TRANSFORMATION ▶ The transformation only lasts until the show is over. However, it is possible to feel remnants of your chosen Beast in your personality well after the show, even after the nanobots have been expelled from your body. This effect will wear off after the event.
QUEEN TEMPESTE ▶ She is sexy, free and single, but she is not ready to mingle. She does, however, have a GemHub. In the short time she has had it, she has filled it with several projects that are a testament to her terrible naming sense. She won’t be available to answer any questions, as she prefers to stay in her lab while planning her next move against the Beasts — and cooperating with Lunatia, of course.

Shell Overlord | Blood Bank | Cordis
[Shell thought the glitzy cities with all their advanced technology were great, but nothing could prepare him for giant fighting robots. Naturally, he leaps at the chance to pilot one, but if a little confused upon learning it needs two people to work. Clearly this wasn't going to be as easy as flying an airship. As they're getting strapped in, he turns to the person being hooked up the machine as well.]
So, one person to maneuver and one to shoot... have you ever piloted anything before? I can shoot, but I have more experience driving than fighting.
[Of course, the whole brain-meld aspect hasn't been very well explained yet. Can Shell keep his thoughts SFW? Can they work together to control the robot in sync? Or will Shell be forced to utilize his pheromones to mind control the other person and make controlling the robot easier? Oh, but hopefully it doesn't come to that...]
2 | September | Waterboy | OTA
[The underwater city is unlike anything Shell has ever seen before -- much like everything else in this world, but this to an even greater extent. However, there's just one problem. Shell can't swim.]
[He has the suit on, so there's no danger of him suffocating at least. But he is in danger of looking like an idiot, flailing in place as he tries to "walk" and finds that he can't really move out of that spot. Eventually, he's gonna just start drifting away, looking a little frustrated.]
How are we supposed to go anywhere like this?
3 | September | Don't wanna miss a Sting | OTA
[These pods are much better than those stuffy suits, even if Shell can't eat any of the food they provide. He's a moment away from giving some of the seafood a try anyway, but is distracted--]
You, uh... feeling all right?
[They just sat down to enjoy the play when whoever Shell is sitting with starts to transform right there in the pod with him... but what are they transforming into? You decide! Either way, this is by and far the strangest thing he's seen so far in this place.]
4 | Cuddle Time | September | OTA (men only for smut)
[Suddenly and without warning, the entire area is filled by the distinct scent of roses. It won't take long to figure out where it's coming from, as Shell skips over to the first person he sees and grabs them by the arm. But for all that the smell may be overpowering, there's something alluring to it as well. Is this a cordis pheromone? Why does it smell so flowery??]
Hey! You know about these moonblessing things, right? Is that what these are? Do they always feel this great-- hey! Think we can try moonlacing like this? I bet it'll feel even better!
[H-He's very excited. Practically vibrating, really. Is this just the moons making him like this? Or was he always this friendly?]

Ranpo Edogawa | Bungo Stray Dogs | Cordis
[Just how long could it possibly keep raining for? Ranpo's really had enough of it, tired of feeling like a wet cat every time he goes out. But go out he must, unable to bring himself to stay locked inside all day. But that day, the rains seem to get even harder than before, and upon hearing warnings of floods, he makes his way home--]
[But he won't make it there. The flood seems to strike without warning. One minute Ranpo is getting into a taxi, and the next, that same taxi is being swept away by the water. It's only with the help of the driver than he makes it outside, but now what? The water is getting higher, moving faster, and more and more debris comes sailing down the road threatening to knock him off the room of the taxi.]
Heeey! Give us a hand!!
[The taxi driver doesn't deserve to be stranded either, and Ranpo will insist the Prismal be saved first. Will you step up and save the day?]
2 | Sick Day | Previous CR Only
[At first, Ranpo easily believes that he's just come down with a cold after getting caught in the water. But when he notices the strange moon outside instead of the sun, he realizes it's something more supernatural at work. But what can be done? His head hurts, and he's so tired. And moonlacing only seems to be making him feel worse, even if it does help his fever go down.]
[But then it starts getting worse.]
[Soon, even the slightest brush of someone else's hand feels like fire on his skin, aching for hours afterward. But he's so feverish, and medication can only do so much to help. At a certain point, he may even send out delirious messages to people he knows, even if just to complain about how much pain he's in.]
3 | Making up for Lost Time | OTA
[When the effects finally wear off, the first thing Ranpo does is hug someone.]
[Anyone. He's been so deprived.]
[Are you around and looking oh so huggable? Guess what, you now have a cat boy clinging to you, his tail wagging happily behind him as he purrs nice and loudly.]
Hey, last month was a rough one, right? I bet I can make you feel better... they say petting a purring cat is great stress relief! And you can pet me wherever you want!

While the culture is something he's gotten used to by now, there's still a lot of new things to take in and process. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much time to do so, as simply being safe standing in one spot isn't guaranteed. The rising water levels worry him, but he won't know if the city will flood until much later. Either way, this is no time to be sitting around inside, twiddling his thumbs idly.
This decision, of course, proves to be troublesome.
As he's making his way into the depths of the city, he feels a great fatigue unlike any other. He recognizes this sensation as losing Chroma, and losing it fast. Staggering for a moment, he leans against the side of a building to catch his breath, rain beating down on his head.
"How's...this happening?"
With no way to correlate this to the rainwater, he can only speculate. Maybe it's something in the atmosphere, maybe it's the rain, or maybe it's just general re-acclimation to another universe or dimension in general?

This is exciting stuff. Honestly. If one knew Henry well enough, they'd even say he looked like a kid at Disneyland, ready to push every single button. That being said, he does rein it back a little and looks over to his co-pilot for the time being.
"Hollywood could make a bloody killin' off a premise like this, I'll bet."
He's mostly talking to himself as he's already taking his spot at one of the stations, but then he stops and hakes his head.
"Sorry, I got a wee bit ahead of myself there. Did you want to drive?"
★ I DON’T WANNA MISS A STING

While the battle had been fun and quite the challenge at that, he's ready for a little R&R. The magical underwater city proves to be just what he's hankering for, even if the idea of being in the water again has him a little apprehensive. However, seeing as he doesn't feel fatigued anymore like before, he warms up to it and takes in the wonders of it all. The suit it still silly, he thinks.
Once inside the domes, he takes in a deep breath and stares into the deep blue abyss. A few kelpie horses and jellyfish swim past, and he can't help but draw back in response. They weren't the most friendly the first time he'd seen them, but in their natural habitat, they appear playful and beautiful.
"Heh, this one tells jokes," he says with a chuckle, "I like that."
Giving the glass a parting tap, he follows a group into the theater area.

Soundwave | Transformers IDW | Iris | OTA
i - Malfunctions
[Going out in the rain was a mistake. As Soundwave is returning from his errand, rain water going into his joint, and the grocery bags of mostly food and snacks for his pet cat is collecting water... It'll be faster if he just flies back home.
He's able to fly for a minute but soon after the rocket booster in his feet peters out. He falls and crashes to the ground. Fortunately, nobody was under him at the time. Not so fortunate, the crash hurts like hell. Odd. He has enough fuel to keep flying, but his boosters aren't activating. Deciding to transform into his alt-mode instead, that isn't triggering either. His metal platings are jammed and struggle to even make the conversion. What's more even the slightest shift hurts. He's growing increasingly frustrated.]
Ugh. Ow, what is... happening?
ii - house visit (closed to pre-existing CR)
[Ever since he's come down with a fever, Soundwave has holed himself up in his room and he's feeling a bit deprived of company. He'd assumed moonlacing would make him feel better, as they always do.
So, he sent a mass text message to everyone in his contacts: 'If you're not busy, I wish for some company.' Are you worried about Soundwave? Haven't seen or heard from either the robo or the avatar for a while and to check if he's okay. Even those who aren't in his contact, are free to visit him in his apartment.
Despite the coughs and the internals heating up, those aren't as distressing as losing access to some of his functions and more importantly his powers, unable to hear the emotions or thoughts of the world outside the room anymore. It's eerily silent for the Cybertronian. Being left completely to his own thoughts is not something he's entirely used to, until he hears knocking at the door or a bell ring.]
iii - Amplified blessings possibly nsfw
a. roboform
[Able to moonlace again is great, but Tempeste's amplifying all the moonblessing traits is proving to be more of an annoyance and a curse for Soundwave than it is a blessing. He's trying to maintain his composure, given Iris heightened heat and his need to moonlace after a week of no contact. It doesn't last long... He isn't sure why he's holding back when he's been deprived, especially when he needs a lot of Chroma to function. He's fine with just about anyone. First person who looks huggable? Gets some organic velvety tentacles wrapping around their arm and tugging it towards... a large mech with metallic bunny ears.]
I need Chroma. Will you help me? [Straight and to the point. But at least he asked first.]
b. holoavatar
[With what little Chroma he had left, he decided to materialize his holoavatar too. Sometimes this is the best option for Soundwave to moonlace. Whoever looks available, she approaches them and tugs on whatever she could grab on to grab their attention, looks up at them with a vacant stare, face flushed a deep red from the heat, before hugging them. The crystal encroaching over her skin should be telling enough that someone here desperately needs to moonlace.]
Warm... [The avatar mutters, looking comfortable and she nuzzles her face against their chest. You wouldn't push away a bunny girl with tentacle hair, right?]
iv - Exploring Calanthe
[Now that he's calmed down, he's free to finally explore this underwater city with its superior technology. Surprise can't describe how Soundwave feels about this ethereal-like domed city. Kelpies and jellyfish swim past him. Despite the fact that they were once enemies, Soundwave's able to put that in the past and finds himself following them.
The jellyfishes in particular, seem attracted by him, playfully floating around the avatar. Perhaps it's because he's part-jellyfish, too? In any case, he's distracted by them to follow the rest of the group into the theater.]

Ferran Gallagher | Original | Iris
▶ A [i feel so cold] 25th-30th
[For all that Ferran has managed to avoid intimacy while he's been on Prismatica, he's nonetheless become used to casual touch in a typical day. As jarring as it is to suddenly feel pain at touching or being touched by another, his new habits aren't so easily unlearned, and he's likely to reach for hands or shoulders half the time before realizing his mistake.
Combine that with the fact that, despite losing all of his powers, he's still trying to rescue anyone collapsed under the rain or affected by the property destruction, it's not a fun situation. The pain won't stop him from trying, but whoever he's trying to help may not be so open to the idea.]
▶ B [every move you make] 30th
[As soon as he hears about the KRAKEN units, he signs up to pilot one. It's the opportunity to take back control of the situation that he wouldn't have otherwise, thanks to all of his magic being gone... whatever anxieties he may have about someone else being in his head.
... and as serious as he is about it, it's undoubtedly fascinating to be able to be in such a thing. Even in his wildest dreams, mech pilot wasn't ever on his list of possibilities for his future. Both of these ends of the emotional spectrum are on his mind when the Moonblessed are about to depart to fight, but the most prominent issues are the strategic concerns of how to defeat the queen.]
Are you ready?
[He doesn't technically need to ask it out loud, given the mental connection, but it would feel wrong not to actually attempt to communicate with his copilot.]
▶ C [every smile you fake] 31st
[Calanthe is a playground of fascinating architecture and technology, and its queen has quickly become Ferran's favorite person in all of Prismatica.
Whether he's taking the time to watch the sea life through the glass domes that sparkle from his appreciation, attempting to pet the kelpies, having spirited conversations with the jellyfish, sitting and watching the informative play, or just staring longingly at Tempeste's lab from afar, it's easy to rope him into a conversation if he doesn't do it first.]
This place is amazing, isn't it?
▶ D [how my poor heart aches] 31st
[At first, the return of his Chroma and all the related is a satisfying sensation, like he's been made whole again, even with his unnatural Iris traits suddenly coming to the surface. But the return of the stabbing pain in his chest he'd been dealing with before the storm is enough to take him by surprise, and he stumbles back with a gasp before doubling over with a grimace on his face.
Iris' pain tolerance will certainly help him when it kicks in, but he might need some help getting that started.]
▶ E [i long for your embrace] 1st-7th
[Even after it does kick in, the amplification means he's still struggling in the week following Tempeste's blessing. It means he's more susceptible to Iris-like urges, although he'd manage stop himself from crossing any lines into more intimate moonlacing. Regardless, it's a fine distraction from the pain, and he lets his usual friendly gestures linger without comment, just for the few extra seconds of relief.
Sometimes, though, it drives him to zero in on the nearest person, stranger or not, and just bump into them and rest there, almost as if he'd been magnetized like those in the previous month. At least he still has the mind to explain himself.]
S-sorry, I think I really need the Chroma right now... would you mind lending me some of your time?
[Thankfully, the suffering means any embarrassment he might have felt over just going up to someone and asking is practically nonexistent.]

[It's the last month of the Sanguis season, and the heat is noticeably subsiding... though Hijikata isn't so sure if the chills he sometimes feels on his evening patrols now are truly owed to the air, which is still mild, or rather to the incidents that have been on the news since the ill-fated expedition to Calanthe. Despite trying to avoid those stories the dramatic second- and third-hand retellings of people's personal experiences are everywhere, so his nerves are on edge as he overlooks the peaceful scene of the Greatmoon Groves at dusk.]
What am I even supposed to do if I see a ghost jellyfish electrocute someone? I can't very well cut it down!
[His muttered words displease the ghost of a Korokiel sitting in the fountain behind him. He may not have been on Prismatica for the battle on the Iris moon almost a year ago, but it's not like she can tell - and frankly, she doesn't care. All Moonblessed are traitors to her people. She slips down on the statues in the fountain until she's right above him, reaches out with two tentacles and warps them around his neck. He immediately feels the cold sensation and tries to pry them off, startled, but his hands pass through them. The ghost narrows her eyes and starts to squeeze his windpipe shut, simultaneously pulling him towards her.
His head tilts back as he catches himself against the statues, and their eyes meet - hers narrowed in anger, his briefly surprised before they widen in panic. He starts to thrash around, but can't get a sound out of his throat, for better or worse. Unless there's an exorcist around there's probably very little anyone can do to help, but he turns out to be surprisingly easy to take down anyway, going slack in the Korokiel's stranglehold within moments. She lets him drop, allowing herself a victorious little smile before fading back into the water. Whether she'll leave the site to look for new prey or lurk here for her next victim, anything a passerby is likely to notice is that there's a Moon Knight in the fountain. Fish him out?]
▶ [B] CAN'T TOUCH THIS PART II (BECAUSE HIJIKATA WON'T GET IN THE KRAKEN, AT LEAST NOT ON THIS POST)
[After that "breathtaking" day the weather took a drastic turn for the worse. For days now it's been an incessant downpour, accompanied by thunder and lightning. Soon the water had risen so high that many people had to be evacuated and put in temporary housing on the safer upper levels. Hijikata is out and about nonetheless, maneuvering a small rescue boat around and decked out in the Moon Knighs' rain gear - but even the water-resistant material can only provide so much protection from the elements.]
Damn. This rain is thick enough to swim in even without the flooding.
[When the emergency investigation in Calanthe was cancelled due to these impossible conditions he knew things would only get worse from there. Clearly whatever they awakened doesn't want to be disturbed, and it looks like it's hellbent on drowning all of them before it'll be appeased. He shields his eyes against the rainfall. Didn't he just see a large, dark shape from the corner of his eye? What was that? He can't spot it again, but isn't that a person over there in the same direction? He raises his voice and shines a flashlight.]
This is the Moon Knights! Are you in trouble?
[Before the other person can respond a massive, mechanical tentacle rises up from the depths and smashes down on the surface of the water between them. Hijikata can't say he saw that coming, but he reacts quickly. If it's not a ghost - and it didn't look like one - he can fight it. He grabs his bazooka, readies it and waits for the unseen enemy to resurface. But whom will it target? The presumed civilian, or Hijikata's little boat? (OOC: Fellow Moon Knights are welcome on board; it can be a buddy mission!)]
▶ [C] I DON'T WANNA MISS A STING
[Hijikata doesn't feel like he contributed greatly to Queen Tempeste's defeat. He certainly didn't shirk his duties, but he lacks a natural inclination towards the mecha-pilot life. He was deeply relieved when the battle was eventually won, and moreso when the entire clash was revealed to have been the result of a misunderstanding. Just what happened between Queen Tempeste and her people and the Prismals and Moonblessed? He feels that he has a serious knowledge gap here, only retaining small conversation snippets of a previous encounter with a kraken queen, and the invitation to the true, deep Calanthe seems like the best opportunity to fill that gap. He takes his time exploring the impressively advanced, beautiful city, and eventually arrives at the Viergian Aquatic Theater, albeit a little too early for the show.]
Huh... why, would you look at that.
[His quiet remark was prompted by a large, framed poster displaying the 7 Beasts of the Calamity as depicted in the stage play. Hijikata was still trying to complete the group in his mind, knowing a decent amount about some and nothing at all about others, and this play seems like it will fill him in just perfectly. Also it looks like a full meal is served to the audience? Honestly, he's in just for that. A small smile appears on his face as he suddenly has something to really look forward to. He mentally gives his past self a pat on the back for packing his chromawear yukata (it's the fanciest outfit he owns, not counting his uniforms... someone needs to take this man shopping one of these days). That's when he notices someone close by who probably overheard him. He turns to the other person.]
Do you also plan to watch the show?.

Engineer | Team Fortress 2 | Sanguis
[A: CAN'T TOUCH THIS]
[Anyone needing to find shelter in the storm - or at least pester Engineer - will find him in his alleyway workshop on Level 3. The doors and shutters are closed, but the lights are still on. Sandbags out front manage to most of keep the rainwater out of his alleyway entrance - though that hasn't stopped the viscous storm from leaking in here and there.
It's not every day you get to study nanomachines, though. Engineer's glad he thought to look into the rainwater after the storm hit so hard. With just a tupperware container, he can already see billions of little bots under a microscope. He sits on a stool in his workshop half-bent over a table, peering into said microscope with wide-eyed fascination, and gives a low whistle to himself.]
So that's what the hell's goin' on.
[Well... probably. He's guessing. Engie couldn't yet prove this was the cause of everything he saw across the network. Chroma drain, people losing magic powers... but the mercenary had been here long enough to know that if something new and weird was happening - OTHER new and weird things were most likely the cause.
Come bother him. You might even come in just in time to find him getting blown out of his chair! Apparently, trying to poke open a microscopic robot with microscopic dissection probe sends a really, REALLY nasty shock through you! Now he's twitching on the floor. Gross?
[ooc: The last paragraph is optional, feel free to use this as a gen meetup or nah.]
[B: I DON'T WANNA MISS A STING]
[Engineer won't lie. After nearly getting zapped to death by tiny robots, he wanted to go to Calanthe more than ever. He wanted to absorb the technology and history of the place like a goddamn sponge. Hell, he wanted to make what they did.
Right now, though? He's just mesmerized.
From one of Calanthe's tube-like hallways, Engineer crosses his arms over his LIFE suit and looks out toward the Viergian kingdom, taking in the lights, the domes, the sea life passing by... pretty much all of it.
Finally, with a low whistle, he lifts his safety goggles up and over his eyes, revealing bright blue eyes shining with complete awe.]
Man. I been to a lot of places, but I never seen anything quite like this.
[A pause passes.]
Nearly like New Zealand.
[Context: In his world, New Zealand is an Atlantis-like underwater city. Why? Because Team Fortress 2 is a stupid, stupid video game.]

Dr. Robotnik | Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) | Iris
[A. STAY IN]
[Honestly, the rain isn't a big deal for Robotnik. He's got a hell of a lot of things to work on right now, so it's not like he had big plans to go outside. Sure, he's aware of the storm, he keeps up on local goings-on and it's getting comically loud, but really? Not a big deal.
Except for the part where the weather gets really bad and big underwater-type robot things are trying to get into his apartment from outside the window. He's gonna stay inside and try and get a good look that way and focus on the network for the time being. He does post a picture of one of the robots.]
Anyone get a good look at these things?
[B. KRAKEN UP (limited to one person)]
[So he's absolutely helped study this tech, because of course he has, and while he doesn't particularly care about who he's supposed to be fighting, he wants to pilot these damn things. Ideally, he'd love to do this alone, but things aren't ideal in this touchy-feely hellworld.]
Let it be known, if I had my way, I'd be doing this myself, [he says to whoever gets to be his unlucky partner.] Let's get this over with.
[Good luck.]
[C. IRIS ALERT]
[It would have been just great if Queen What's-Her-Face had maybe MENTIONED that she was going to press the "instant cycle" button before he decided to take a fun trip to the underwater city.
So here he is, Iris cycle kicking into overdrive, far from his apartment and just feeling his body slip subtly into the now-familiar jellyfish-esque form he tends to take during Iris. And of course he knows what's next.
It's miserable.
He's trying to distract himself with looking at things until he can find a good place to stay (he's leaving the second he can get his wits about him enough), but he's sweating and shivering and it's, quite frankly, the worst.
Eventually, he just groans in frustration, and maybe also in more than frustration.]
Could things just happen at their designated time for once?

i - rain, rain go away
[(a)Ever since she caught herself in the rain, her body starts becoming more and more sluggish, feverish, to her surprise. Is it a normal fever? The strange moon in the sky is telling enough it is more supernatural than that. Well, moonlace always solves these sorts of problem, right? As long as she has lived in this city, that's the general rule. The slightest brush of contact with another and suddenly it
hurts. Suzuka reeling her hand back with a pained gasped, her skin feels like it's burning over a fire.]Ow!
[That's. Not at all what she expected...
(b (closed to pre-existing CR))Later on, she escaped back to her apartment. Her head hurts, powerless and she's so, so tired. She's laying on her bed, feeling like a useless blob, and at some point she'll send out a text to people in her contact.]
hey how u doing
ii - KRAKEN
[As soon as Suzuka hears about the KRAKENS unit, she leaps at the first chance to pilot one. Having lost nearly all her Servant and supernatural powers, this is her chance to fight back. That, and piloting a giant robot is cool AF.]
I call dibs on the guns! You drive. [She says to whoever her copilot is, decided all that on her own.] Alright, let's do this!
[This isn't the first time she piloted a giant robot via mind melding, but is her partner able to be in sync with her to control the robot?]
iii - Cuddle me possible nsfw
[Following Queen Tempeste's "blessing", her Sanguis-tendencies are immediately kicked into overdrive.
Suzuka skips over to the nearest person within her sight, her prey, and suddenly wraps her arms around them. Or when her more violent urges get to her, she glomps instead. Either way, the embrace is possessive, and the now-wolf girl doesn't seem intent on letting go.]

Sypha Belandes | Castlevania | Sanguis
a. up where the mountains meet the heavens above
[It's strange, being in one town for this long, but Sypha can manage that. Being confined to her apartment is another story. She has food and shelter, and that's all she can really ask for, especially with people in worse spots than her. But oh my god, it's so boring.
The absolutely torrential downpour outside her window and the occasional glimpses of tentacles off in the distance would be more than enough to keep her indoors, but this isn't just any normal storm with giant squids climbing the buildings. She can't remember the last time she's been without magic, not since she was a young girl, and the thought of her intent stripped of its power by the touch of a raindrop is sobering.
She busies herself for a few hours at a time. In hindsight, it's an incredible time for her to be discovering video games, even if she doesn't particularly love any of the ones she has. In the downtime, she's been lying on the floor, mostly. Staring at the ceiling, draped over couches like a lazy cat, wanting something to do. So at some point, she resorts to carrying her message out through the flood to her neighbors in big, neon, sticky note letters on the inside of her window.]
HELLO OUT THERE !
STUCK INSIDE PLEASE VISIT MY PRISMAL CROSSING TOWN
[And below that, her friend code and the password for her town. She's gone through so, so many sticky notes. Please play with her. Please?]
b. up where the lightning splits the sea [locked to trevor]
[You know those days when you're like "this might as well happen?"
Sypha isn't not absolutely jazzed to be piloting a giant tentacle robot, firing laser beams at rogue mechs. In a way, it's a relief to be back doing something she knows, blasting monsters and taking the world by the reins. It's just...well, this all so fucking absurd in the way that doesn't quite hit in the moment. It's the kind of stupid thing that you laugh about after the moment has some time to settle, but she still needs to work her way out of it.
Her neurons are firing at top speed and linked up to Trevor, lining up every shot she takes. Their minds slowly meld together into one, catching flashes of each other, stray thoughts that float up into consciousness one by one. A persistent confidence, on her part. An ease, knowing how good of a team they make, celebrating each mech they disabled with a cheer and a fist in the air.]
There's one on our left!
[The enemy fleet is getting denser now that they've cut closer to Queen Tempeste herself, but they have no fucking idea what they're up against.]
c. i can feel there is somebody somewhere watching me
[The first thing she feels when she lays her eyes on the underwater city is devastation.
She can't believe everything was destroyed. Even against all odds, with the flooding and the cataclysm and the boundless loss of life, she still holds out some small hope that something survived. The all-consuming Pompeian ash still clung onto the memory and the terror of that day, and surely the ancient civilization must have left traces beyond the crumbling remains of their architecture. There has to be something that made it through.
The second thing is "oh my god, did they really name their city fucking virgin."
But soon she's ushered into a theater, sat down with an assortment of culinary delights she's never even thought of in her life. And as it goes on, something clicks, an open-mouthed delight sparkling in her eyes. This is it. Her people carry knowledge through word of mouth, but there's only so much one group of people can carry at once, only so much any given person is willing to take in.
This, though? Framing the story as entertainment, into a spectacle? That makes it timeless, some small piece carried into the memories of every person who sees it. Art persists, even in the face of near-total destruction. It's not perfect, sure, but in this moment, sipping her champagne and scrunching up her face as the carbonation stings her nostrils, she thinks it's nothing short of ingenious.
Maybe she sees you sitting next to her, taking on the visage of one of the seven beasts. Maybe she sees you recovering after the play, or taking it all in like she is. Or perhaps you hear her talking excitedly all by herself, throwing her hands out in the air.]
If only I could tell the Speakers about this!

Ruby Rose | RWBY | Cordis
A. Power Down:
[This was not a good feeling at all. There were people who were in danger and needed pulling out, but the rain happening made being the big hero next to impossible - it seemed like being in the rain sapped her strength and her power. But, she had to help people, right. So, Ruby's out there like the hero-prone idiot that she is and trying to help get others to safety for the moment. And if anyone catches sight of her, she'll try to wave it off.]
I'm... I'm fine, really. I might need to rest, though...
[She needs a lot more than that, silly.]
B. Can't Touch This
[Throughout Ruby's time trying to help people, things tend to get worse - around noon, a strange moon shows up, causing Ruby to help in pain as she idly grabbed someone's arm to balance herself.]
Wh-what the hey...?! Why did that hurt!?
C. Get in the KRAKEN, Shinji
[At last, something Ruby can really do. Mecha ready to take the fight to these creeps trying to wreck havoc around here. It feels odd being able to use one since the last time she met a mecha, she had to fight it. But, since there needs to be two people to pilot it, she's going to hunt down someone to do so.]
Hey, c'mon! Once in a lifetime thing here! Let's go kick some butt in one of these, huh? I need a partner anyway...!
D. Making Up for Lost Time
[Now this was an odd feeling. A really REALLY odd feeling. For some odd reason, Ruby's now feeling the urge to... well, Moonlace. Really Moonlace. Which is odd since she just got here, but here's this feeling of wanting to do so much. Right now, though, that might just be finding the nearest person and hugging the hell out of them, but...!]

D. On the Vierge
[After the crisis has been resolved, Gumshoe joines the others in journeying into Calanthe. He wants to to what he can to investigate and learn, after all, like a true detective! He can be seen taking in the sights within the barriers, and then he eventually ends up at the theater, where he watches the show while consuming the food with some of that seaweed champagne. Join him while he watches the show and tries to take notes? He'll also definitely take note of someone transforming around him! And then after the show, others can join him to compare notes, and/or he can end up witnessing anyone who's still behaving strangely!]

Laughing Beauty | METAL GEAR | Sanguis
A) CAN'T TOUCH THIS
1)
[Upon hearing that there were some octopus-like creatures attacking the city, LB was hesitant to go out and try to help with the effort to try to save people that might be caught in the chaos, but she did have a suit that made her capable of scaling buildings which might actually be helpful in this situation. So while the nanomachines in her system were pumping her with adrenaline and endorphins to try to encourage her to fight the phantom beings around, LB herself was at least sensible enough to know that her attacks probably weren't going to do fuck all to something that didn't even seem to be corporeal. As it turned out, her nanomachines didn't really have a good way of telling what would actually be a good opponent for her.
Regardless, her nanos do manage to make her mood a little more manic than normal - as she goes through the wreckage in her Octopus suit, her compulsive laughs are even harder to hold back before. It... probably doesn't look good that someone with mechanical tentacles similar to the monsters around was wandering around, but still! As she sees someone having difficulties, she'll acrobatically leap with a thrust from her own tentacles to propel herself to their location, using another mechanical tentacle to toss some debris out of her way.]
Come with me, hahaha! [Oh, it probably doesn't help that her suit also gives her voice kind of a creepy, dual-voiced distortion as well. Still, with the adrenaline pumping through her blood, it makes her a little more impatient than usual if she notices them hesitating.] Come on, what the fuck are you waiting for?
2)
[Sometime later, LB notices that her chroma was getting low, so she had to store her Octopus suit back at her apartment to avoid losing all of her chroma entirely. However, with the storm raging on, she quickly realizes that she can't take shelter at her home when the wind blows out her windows. Maybe this was karma for the time she destroyed another person's windows here, or maybe it wasn't? Either way, LB is doing her best to make her way through the streets of Lunatia, hoping to make it to somewhere more stable.
However, as she has to cross a road in the rain, LB can't help but feel completely awful. While most people would only have to deal with a fever or loss of powers, that meant that her own nanomachines were going haywire and it never meant anything good for anyone in her world - with a dependence on the nanos to run her system, she was suffering both a horrible migraine and a slowly rising fever on top of it, which eventually leads her to collapse to her knees.
While she manages to crawl to the edge of the street, LB knew that she wouldn't make it too much farther like this. As much as she didn't like asking other people for help, she was desperate enough to know that she needed help. So, it really didn't matter who was passing by, she didn't give a shit as she attempts to make a grab for their leg, looking up at them in a pretty pathetic display.]
Help me, eheheh...
B) GET BACK IN THE KRAKEN, LB!
(Closed to Rey and Noiz)
[Though she was feeling a little bit better from her sudden nanomachine withdrawal, LB is still doing her best to fight a light migraine along with the present fever from being out in the rain. However, with the KRAKEN units available to use, LB does her best to push her ailments to the back of her mind as she knew her experience with her tentacle suit would be invaluable in controlling a similar unit, even if these were considerably bigger than what she was used to.
Regardless, as she comes face to face with her co-pilot, she frowns a little as she looks over the manual for controlling the machine. While a lot of this was familiar, there was one thing quite a bit different: someone would have to actually control the movements of it. Her own suit just took inputs directly from her mind and she didn't have to worry about the mechanics of it. However, when LB never learned how to drive, she knew she'd be a liability for that aspect of the KRAKEN.
So, with an awkward smile, LB rubs the back of her head as she speaks.]
Oh, um. Hey! Eheheh! Do you mind if I control the attacking functions? I... can't actually drive.
C) I DON'T WANNA MISS A STING
1)
[After Queen Tempeste surrenders, it was hard to deny the chance to explore Calanthe, even if LB was still suffering a little bit from the nanomachine withdrawal that the queen was the cause of. Still, who could pass up the chance to see a real underwater city, the kind of thing one would only read legends of?
So though she was still a little paranoid over her tour, she hesitantly goes to the Aquatic Theater when directed, frowning a little as she reads the menu. This was exactly the kind of cuisine she loved, but... she couldn't help that it felt off, considering all the aquatic life around them.]
Um... [She looks to whoever is around her at the table, looking a little sheepish as she leans into the vibrating chairs provided.] Do you think the people here frown upon people eating octopus? Ahaha?
[Because look, that was literally the cause of her trauma back on her home world. Granted, she had been assured many times on the surface that the people here weren't as bad as the cult in her history. Still, she wanted to be more safe than sorry, considering that this was literally a kingdom of sea life everywhere.]
2)
[Once Tempeste returns the chroma and powers back to the Moonblessed, LB is admittedly a little relieved to feel her nanomachines activate again, even if she had almost gotten over the withdrawal symptoms. As a result of amplifying the Moonblessed traits, LB's ears and facial markings transform to resemble a Norwegian Goat, which was getting to be all too familiar to her. Even if she frowns a little as she feels a set of horns grow on top of her head as well - that much was new, because of the amplifying of the traits.
Still, even if she feels the chroma course through her body again, LB can't deny that she wanted more - she needed to make up for lost time. That, and she missed the sensation that even platonic moonlacing could bring. So, whether she knows your character or not, if they're nearby, she'll grab their hand. While she'll keep it platonic for women and younger characters, she might be a little flirty to adult men. Doesn't really matter in the long run, though, as her proposal will be innocent enough.]
Are you feeling better too? Ahaha? [Tilting her head, she waits for their answer before looking around.] Would you like to explore the rest of the city with me for a while?

[ Shigeru is pretty unaffected by this but you know even he has to moonlace and it’s only when his bracelet is yelling at him to generate chroma. Shigeru is admittedly distraught as he flinches when he suddenly bumps into someone and it hurts, holy crap what was that?! The pain was excruciating, and Shigeru will let out a muted yelp in the form of a pained gasp as he reels back from whoever it might have been he’s walked into. Shaky hands will take out a device as he types something. ]
Sorry! I. I’m so sorry! Are you…okay?
Event – Don’t wanna miss a sting;
[ When all is said and done Tempeste’s blessing is more of curse to Shigeru than anything else. He’s trying to maintain his composure, given the heightened effects of Iris and the fact that he really does need to moonlace. But now his original powers are on the fritz and it’s…not good. Shigeru knows how his powers get when they go haywire and so he’ll be holing himself up in his apartment until, well, one day there’s just a huge gaping hole in his wall?! Should you peer inside Shigeru will be very much not okay as his gate looms out above him and his eyes are that blackish purple hue. He looks so…distraught and upset that he doesn’t even notice whoever might be there looking inside. Instead his attention is understandably drawn to his shaking, gloved, hands. His breathing is unsteady and shaky as he finally manages to look up at whoever might now be staring at him. Why. Why is this happening?! ]
Viergian Aquatic Theater - The Envious Basilisk;
[ Shigeru's sin as he transforms is that of the envious basilisk. His skin will become scaled and his deer tail will shift into something more reptilian. He might look towards anyone he knows with an envious, hungry, look as he tries to make his way towards them. Gloved hands wrapping around a wrist, gripping a shoulder, or even wrapping around an exposed neck.
Ah. He has a lot of things to be envious of, doesn't he? The fact that anyone but him can speak is good enough reason alone. So if you feel those gloved hands tightening around your throat as that serpentine tail keeps you from moving, well, Shigeru will definitely be the cause of it. ]

1. The Woes of Being Unlucky [semi-closed to closer/positive CR]
[Haga can't say he missed Lunatia. Really, he can't, because he didn't remember his time in this place once he was back home. Now that he's back though, he would be a little more enthused about it if wasn't for the torrential rain and the inevitable flood coming his way. Talk about returning at the worst possible time...
It would also be a lil' bit better if his new living quarters - his previous one was now occupied and even someone like him knows now is not the time to argue about sheltering - weren't so... ground level.
The water is rising fest in the following days and it's not looking good. He thinks about contacting folks he know in this place but... do they even remember him? He isn't used to people forming deep bonds with him, so he puts the idea aside and decides to fiddle with his bracelet in a hopeless attempt to distract himself from the water that's clearly covering half of his windows.
This is fine.
Which isn't fine is when the glass starts to crack under the pressure of the water.]
Crap! OK... no panic... it's gonna be fine... [Haga things to himself as water trickles down small cracks, fingers working on the visor of the bracelet to call someone, anyone. He doesn't care if they remember him, he needs help and he needs it now.
As he tries to reach people he know, the cracks grow larger. Haga's gaze snaps up to the window and he gives a few steps back. He doesn't even realize he actually managed to get the video feed running, because there's more pressing matters at hand.
So, if anyone somewhat close to him gets his message, they'll get glimpses of water, and can also hear the sound of something cracking, and Haga muttering stuff under his breath as he paces around his place wondering what he should do. Does he stay? Does he leave? No matter what, he clearly needs a hand.]
2. First Contact
[In the end, Haga managed to go through that scary experience unscathed. Or as unscathed as one can be when faced with imminent flood and murderous water creatures.
When he's sure everything is actually safe, curiosity gets the better of him and he decides he wants to visit Calanthe. It can't be more terrifying than his latest "adventure".
And, to his surprise, everything is indeed quite great right off the bat. The whole place is super high-tech, which is something Haga can certainly appreciate, and while sea-creatures aren't really his thing, the jellyfish are pretty and also very friendly. Hmm... is that a chuckle you hear from him as he talks to one of them? It's probably just your imagination.
While he's looking around wide-eyed and with a somewhat goofy smile on his face, the walls he passes close by turn into bright shades of yellow and orange, projecting images of cute insects like butterflies and ladybugs. Someone is clearly enjoying themselves while floating about! It's probably a good time to approach him, no?]
3. Enjoy The Show!
[To finish off his visit to Calanthe, Haga decides he wants to attend the theater. It can't hurt to know more about this place. Plus he heard rumors from the jellyfish that Tempeste herself would show up and, while she did cause chaos and destruction, Haga also thought she was strangely pretty. Which is weird because he usually doesn't care much about how girls or women look, hm...
Either way, he settles down on a pod, and is surprisingly not very bothered by sharing it with someone else. He's far too comfortable drinking juice and being massaged by his seat to care.
The presentation is dazzling and enthralling. So much so, Haga doesn't even notice when he begins to go through a slow transformation, getting a little too big for his seat and his eyes moving to the center of his face and fusing into one. And his size just keeps on growing and, oh dear, he seems to be taking part of your seat now. Better ask for him to move but... He doesn't seem inclined to, if the big yawn he lets out is any indication.]

01. THE STORM BEGINS [TEXT]
SENDER: konoha
TO: TSURUGI FARMSTEAD EMPLOYEES CUSTOMERS, & FRIENDS
greetings! i hope you is doing well in this hard rain and lightning... because of storm, there is no must-do work on TSURUGI FARMSTEAD and also no market appearance. delivery also suspended, with apology!
if anyone can help and is alright with storm... then yes, more hands available to secure crop would be much appreciated. but please only if you are sure is safe for you!!
last time we have big rain storm like this was no good situation, so.
all, please take care and stay safe.
02. FLOOD PREPARATION [TSURUGI FARMSTEAD]
Here, take these sand bags over to the fields- !
[The rain is coming down in sheets, hard and unforgiving, but Konoha has a job to do, and a home to protect. Maybe it wasn't her real home, but after a year in Lunatia... it's become home enough. Hair and clothing plastered to her body, unable to work properly while holding an umbrella or bundled in a rain cape, the farmstead's jinba proprietress has abandoned her usual peppy attitude for more no-nonsense work mode, shouting orders (well, requests) to those out helping over the clap of thunder that occasionally makes her flinch or shudder.]
Can you help secure the rain doors? I can't get up the storehouse stairs as fast, here, can you get these tools up to the second floor? There's also the irrigation ditches that need opening-
[Whichever task you end up helping with, it seems like Konoha is right there beside you, throwing her prodigious strength into the effort even as the sweat lathering on her flanks is washed away by the rain and her hooves begin to sink deeper and deeper into the mud and water.]
03. FLOODING [LUNATIA or GREATMOON GROVES]
[Flooding is a catastrophe that Konoha knows how to handle. (Mostly.) More than once in her life she's dealt with this kind of disaster, and she isn't about to underestimate nature... even when her prior Lunatian experience tells her that this is more than likely another event tied to that Vierge goddess. Wasn't her people the ones who flooded the city last time?
When she and her fellow jinba have done all they can on their own farm, there's still helping their Prismal neighbors in the Groves and the neighborhoods her friends live in... and with the waters rising, sloshing around her hocks and rising fast, she catches sight of someone struggling and surges forward, reaching out a hand.]
Here, take my hand- ! Can you ride?
[Desperate times called for desperate measures.]
04. CHROMA DRAIN RAIN [LUNATIA or GREATMOON GROVES]
[It's sometimes difficult to tell your chroma is being drained when you're throwing yourself bodily into hard physical labor like preparing a farmstead for a floor or helping fish people out of the rising waters. Without any magical powers or abilities to be affected by the deluge and allow her to notice something supernatural or technological at work, Konoha assumes it's just regular exhaustion at first. She tries to push past it.
But her limbs grow heavy, her breath comes shorter, her head begins to feel hazy, voices seem distant... and as she struggles to understand why this feels familiar, finally begins to place the sensation as one she's felt before courtesy a Vierge jellyfish attack...
She stumbles, goes down to all four knees despite a weak attempt to catch herself that slowly leads to both hands on the wet ground. A smaller body might be obscured in the rain, but at least it's hard to miss a jinba...
Even when she's half-collapsed, struggling to get back up but finding that her body lacks the strength.]
05. POST STORM CLEAN-UP [TEXT or TSURUGI FARMSTEAD]
[After the krakens, the nanomachines, the fight with Tempeste, the venture to Calanthe, all things Konoha more hears about than experiences (you won't catch her in a giant robot thing)... There's the rebuilding. So a message goes out on the network:]
SENDER: konoha
greetings! is konoha, 👩🐎. i hope everyone is safe after storm and after fight and after going to under water city... i hear there is CENTAUR there?
now i am asking if there is hands available for helping clean from flood in GREATMOON GROVES. if helping, i can provide meals and small money! if have question please ask. will be cleaning from today while weather is good again.
is much appreciating your time, thank you.
[and if you respond to that request...]
Ah... There goes the rice harvest...
[Looking out over the waterlogged fields, Konoha just heaves a long sigh, using the cloth draped around her neck to dab at the sweat on her brow, hooves and bay-coated legs already muddy again from sweeping flood debris out of the house. There's still lots to do... but first, she looks down with a little smile.]
Thank you... For helping. We really appreciate it.

Poe Dameron | Star Wars | Cordis
▶ GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Poe had met some interesting people here already, and there seemed to be more and more interesting people around. The different races didn’t surprise him, as he’s used to that from where he’s from. More just the attitude to this so-called pleasure plant was interesting. Some people seemed interested in Moonlancing and others just wanted to live their lives.
There was also the fact that he had to keep an eye out for Kylo Ren (No, Ben now, wasn’t it?) and General Hugs. Finn had said they were here. He wasn’t sure how he felt about that yet, but he’d gladly run into them if he could. Even if just to give them hell.
He wandered the place from here to there, trying to get the scope of what there was to do or see. There was a lot. It was like a paradise or something. Like a vacation he had never been allowed to have. This could either be a lot of fun or very boring.
He scoped out shops, as well as places to eat. He’d go bother Rey and see if she needed a hand at her shop, and he’d look for Finn a little later, but right now he was roaming. Feel free to run into him anywhere.
▶ CAN’T TOUCH THIS
The rain had felt good at first. He wasn’t far from a beach when it happened, and he just assumed it was a normal rain, but as he got soaked in the rain water he felt… drained. One moment he had felt fine, full and happy, the next he was wet and felt sluggish. It was an odd fatigued feeling. Like he’d just ran a marathon all of a sudden.
He paused to lean on a building, looking around to see others in the rain. Trying to see how they reacted to it. This felt bad and suddenly he didn’t want to be wet at all. He reached out to someone going by, touching their arm. “Hey, excuse me. How do you feel?” He asked, but the contact would maybe bring a jolt to both of them.
▶ GET IN THE KRAKEN, POE!
“Now this is more like it.” Poe said to his co-pilot. Suited up and in the pilot seat of a Kraken, he sounded more amused than anything. Neural transmitter slipped on over his head and he linked up with his partner. “Lets see how this baby handles, huh?”
To whoever got in this contraption with him, bless you for indulging his need to be the pilot. He flexed his hands in ready need for a control but there was none. Just the neural transmitter, telling the machine to move its body. A giant robot with battle tentacles. How amazing was that? It’s far from a pilot’s seat in a ship, but it felt as thrilling as that too.
His own thoughts right now raced through the feel of flying, the g force pressing in on him as he left a planet, or the cold of space all around him. It flashed to a thought of his mother, wondering what she would have thought of this machine. And then back to the task at hand, curiously testing the legs and torso of this beast.
▶ I DON’T WANNA MISS A STING
Calanthe was an interesting place, with its domes and tubes connecting each sector. Poe had of course gone down to the city to visit and explore, even though he was still exploring the city he found himself in as it was. This was a chance to explore an underwater city, so why not. There might not be a chance to explore it later. Who knows.
He could be found exploring the Market Place for its advanced tech and what not. Curiously looking over items here and there. Nothing quite grabbing his attention yet though. He wasn’t much of a theater goer but he might end up going to a show anyhow. Will you join him?
The show is interesting, and if someone with him changes, he’ll be interested in what’s going on with that. After the show, when things have changed back, he’ll be sure to assure the other it was all fine. The apology from Queen Tempeste that brought the holographic interface up was interesting, and as Poe tried to inspect that it was gone. In place of it was a flash of lively feelings. His Chroma returned to him in a flood. He almost stumbled back as he felt it, then smiled. “Now that’s better.”

Shirou Oogami | BNA: Brand New Animal | Sanguis
CAN'T TOUCH THIS
[ Shirou is no stranger to rain. Sure, the amount of rain falling on Lunatia is more than average, but it's still not something that Shirou hasn't seen before. The rain came fast. He smells the water in the air and hears the clap of thunder not long before the downpour starts. There's no escaping the water, but he's hoping he can at least make it home quickly enough before he gets too soaked.
The rain falls harder than he expected and he's wincing as he's running when something… odd happens. It's normal for beastmen to be in their human form unless something happens that makes then switch to their animal form… but as he runs, Shirou finds his human form slipping away from him before he stands there in his wolf form.
This is quite a shock for him, and he takes a moment to stop as he's running, looking at himself in confusion.
… Someone should at least get him out of the rain. ]
DON'T WANT TO MISS A STING
[ Shirou, gruffly, takes the invitation to visit Calanthe. It's a new area to map out, and he'd be damned if he didn't at least look around once just in case that information is needed. As he walks around the city, the barriers shimmer and display images of a city filled with beastmen, who are all happily in their beastforms instead of their human ones. Shirou pauses his walk as the images are displayed, looking at them with a smile before he moves on.
He's then ushered into the theater. Shirou tries to protest, more interested in walking around the rest of Calanthe than watching a show, but the jellyfish are persistent and before he knows it, he's seated. He huffs, crossing his arms after he takes a bite of the pan-fried octopus. He's not going to look a gift horse in the mouth here.
As the show goes on, Shirou finds something come over him… that bite of pan-friend octopus wasn't enough. Before he knows it, he's pulling the food towards him and shoving as much of it as he could into his mouth. He takes a bite of one thing before switching to another and then another. Gluttony doesn't even begin to describe what he's doing right now.
If you try to reach for something, you'll see Shirou growl at you, teeth taking on a pointed look. ]
I'd think again, if I were you.
