▶ EVENT.017

The hottest and longest days of the year have arrived, leaving everyone sweating from the sweltering summer heat as Lunatian and Lyestellian residents excitedly prepare to sojourn to Amegahara. Lord Bairen formally invites everyone to the first Vulpus Astra Celebration, featuring all three city-states. The festival will be held at sundown to escape the summer heat. It goes without saying that preparations will be done earlier in the day.

When the clock strikes six as you travel along Inari Highway, you can already spot the fireworks painting the sunset sky. In the distance, you hear the vigorous drum playing and raucous voices of the Amegaharans, promising a lively affair.

The main event will take place by the Akeboshi Sea, said to possess waters so clear that it can perfectly reflect every constellation in the night sky. The Amegaharans are very strict about keeping it pure and will not tolerate any polluting! In the waters lurks its powerful guardian beast: a monstrous three-headed sea hydra that is said to drag anyone who dares sully his home into the cold ocean depths, where he ruthlessly rips them apart limb by limb. They call him... “Momo.”

... He’s cute when you give him headpats.

Gonna Dress You Up in My Love
07/25 | Akeboshi Sea, City of Amegahara | top

The venue by the sea is filled with countless outdoor tents, lines of colorful booths, and a raised stage for performers where you can watch the results of hard practice of these dancers fully come to life. You will find bright blue paper lanterns hanging all over the festival and spot billowing steam rising from all the outdoor barbecues. The locals will guarantee no one leaves the venue hungry. Try their super bass rice bowl, best paired with chilled sake!

The glassware and accessories found around the festival may be familiar. Did you make some of them? One of the stalls sell drink-inspired jewelry, a rising trend among Amegaharans and Lunatians alike. Careful now — if you fill these rings with enough Chroma, you might feel a little tipsy yourself!

Prismals everywhere are deep into the party spirit and aren’t shy to bust a move. Prismals of all kinds, from tall and well-built dragons to scantily clad foxes, will offer to dance with the Moonblessed. The crowd also encourages the Moonblessed to dance with each other!

Any Prismal or Moonblessed who’s partied too hard or had too much to drink may be brought into nearby medical tents to rest or detoxify.

In honor of the first day of the festival, “Yukata Day”, standard dress for the Vulpus Astra Celebration includes a full set of yukata or haori and other traditional Amegaharan garb, all of which Amegaharans will encourage attendees to wear.

A  If you still don’t have your own yukata, Lunatia’s popular fashion brand, Prissy Polyp, will have an eye-catching booth at the venue that will be giving all Moonblessed fabulous Chromawear yukata for free!

These special yukata will appear plain white when you put them on, but the cloth will soon absorb colors and patterns based on your thoughts, allowing you to customize them after some concentration. However, an unforeseen side effect lets them accidentally absorb designs and images from other Moonblessed should you happen to accidentally brush against them. You may end up with patterns of your friend’s lunch or their crush’s smiling face emblazoned all over your yukata. Thankfully, the side effects naturally wear off in half an hour.

Chromawear yukata can’t be worn alone by design, so you’ll inevitably need to ask your fellow Moonblessed for a hand. The booth staff will gladly provide instructions as well as a large tent with multiple changing rooms, separated by curtains. This tent is located next to Prissy Polyp’s booth!

Somewhere Beyond the Sea, Somewhere Waiting for Me
07/26 | Four Penguins Spa, Akeboshi Sea | top

The second day of the festival is punctuated with a glorious tribute to the sea. The Amegaharans rather unoriginally call it “Sea Day.” The beloved hydra Momo will be offering free rides through the Akeboshi Sea on his back and act as a silent tour guide. He will ferry Moonblessed to a sacred island with the best view of the sea.

This island is surrounded by stunning marine life protected by law. The lovely flowers put together by Prismals and Moonblessed decorate the small shrines along the island paths. On this island, the Cordis moon can be seen at night anytime, but there are no effects outside of its lunar cycles. Only you, your partner, and a tranquil romantic view. It’s a chance to catch up if you have matters to talk about or fights to settle.

Compared to last evening’s party mood, this evening calms the senses. The tour is perfect for those suffering from hangovers.

B  A health and wellness spa and bathhouse called Four Penguins can be found by the shoreline, overlooking the waters and Amegahara’s distant city view. Rumors say that a dip in their magical baths will make you want to splash free and enjoy the water to an almost manic degree. Being in it, being near it, being covered in it will make you feel good to the point of pleasure and elation. It doesn’t matter if it’s seawater, drinking water, or bath water. You will want to be deep inside it and may even want to pull someone in to soak with you. What better way to honor the glorious Akeboshi Sea? This obsession with water and wetness will not stop until you have successfully moonlaced with someone.

Come Along and Ride on a Fantastic Voyage
07/30 - 07/31 | Dimension X | top

On the final night of the festival, the city lights dim at midnight as everyone turns eyes towards the sky. The Vulpus constellation suddenly flashes with a bright light before vanishing without a trace. You hear the frightened tittering of Amegaharans as they wonder what happened. Has their beloved constellation disappeared?

All will soon come to light as a large kitsune appears, riding on the back of the mother dragon, Lyestella, who has recovered enough to rescue her dear friend from his sealed prison at long last. He will step off the dragon and announce that he is Vulpus, here to help restore the planet to its former glory after the cataclysm.

The two gods weave a tale of the old days: Vulpus and Lyestella had been the rulers of their respective people as the planet thrived. Many ancient races and their kingdoms all lived together in harmony. However, something gave life to the Beasts of the Calamity. They do not know what or how. When the beasts attacked, there was no time to react as whole empires collapsed and the planet was drained of life. The ancient Prismals lost their ability to moonlace and the gods were sealed. It was a one-sided war that ended too quickly.

C  Once finished with his introduction, Vulpus will grant the Moonblessed his grand blessing to finish off the celebration. A large portal in the shape of a blue star will appear, serving as a gateway that will supposedly allow temporarily means to reach their worlds and bring along others with them.

On the other side is a large dimension, called Dimension X, where countless worlds have converged together into one large spectacle. For instance, the towering urban architecture of Gotham City can be found next to the majestic frozen wall of the Night’s Watch.

As you tour this unknown space, you might see your families and loved ones lingering about or eventually encounter the familiar road leading to your home. However, some things may be slightly strange, such as a relative’s hair color being different than what you remember or their mannerisms are suddenly off. You find that close friends left behind have become angry and violent towards you, or previously dead relatives are suddenly alive.

It quickly dawns on you that something is very wrong with this world. Well, foxes are known for their trickery.

Once you return, Vulpus will fervently apologize for lying and that he cannot send you back as he can only create illusionary worlds. He thought the Moonblessed might take comfort in seeing their home again even for a single day.

Perhaps, with more Chroma being produced from the Moonblessed, a real method can be discovered in the near future. He kindly asks you to honor him by vigorously engaging in amorousness at his famous temple in Amegahara. He likes to watch.

NOTES
MOMO ▶ Momo is generally peaceful, but he will not hesitate to attack polluters like an underwater guard dog, either throwing gigantic water waves at offenders or picking them up with his long tail then flinging them far away. Momo is amicable and can be befriended. Aside from headpats, he likes playing beach volleyball with his tail!

Gonna Dress You Up in My Love

Yukata Be Kidding Me!
[ A festival, hm? Luca hasn't been to this city before, but he couldn't help but be curious. After all, he does need to explore more of the planet.

Upon entry, he is given a white robe-like garment at one stand and directed to a tent to change. Apparently the locals really want him to wear this... Guess he'll humor them before someone throws him out for violating the dress code.

Unfortunately, he went straight to a changing room alone before he understood how to properly wear the robe.

When he comes out, he's got the ends folded over his chest the wrong way and the obi tied around his waist like he's wearing a bath robe. He's also... Still wearing his jeans and boots. ]

Erm... He sheepishly looks around at the others. Did I... Am I wearing this right?

[ He is absolutely not wearing this right, someone fix him. ]

I Don't Dance
[ Once someone has corrected his horrible fashion mistake, Luca's let loose on the festival. It's a pleasant experience, for the most part! Good food to eat, beautiful glassware to look at, and plenty of music and dancing.

When was the last time he's been invited to any sort of dance? He can't remember at all, but if he was well educated he must have been part of Society at some point, and people in polite Society tend to go to parties where people are expected to dance. The locals in this foxy town are dancing jigs he either has never seen before or completely forgot about, but that doesn't stop him from trying to join in.

Keyword, trying. His attempts aren't as successful as he thinks they are.

Some Prismals are gawking at his wild display. Others are filming him. Others still are backing away in horror. Someone please save him from himself before he becomes a laughing stock on some video site. ]

Come Along and Ride on a Fantastic Voyage

Cruel Summer (July 30th-31st)
[ Luca doesn't take the fox god's offer.

Don't get him wrong, he'd be happy to go home for at least a little while... But what good would that do him? Even if he hadn't been lured to that death trap of a mansion or kept there for who knows how long, he can't go back to how things once were. The police must be looking for him. Society would reject him on sight. What good thing is still there in a world where everyone who matters sees him as a some backstabbing criminal?

So he politely declines and stays in the festival grounds. He should probably start heading back to the apartment in Lunaria or whatever, but seeing as he can't even remember what the proper name of the city is he'll content himself with exploring the fox city until his housemates get back. Or something.

There's still a sad look in his eyes as he ponders purchasing a souvenir from a stall. He's trying to get his mind off things, but that shining blue portal remains a constant reminder of what he left behind. Was his arrival in Prismatica a blessing in disguise, or is this some form of benevolent exile?

He shakes his head and tries to come up with small talk for whoever decides to approach. ]

This place gets more interesting every day, doesn't it? [ He asks with a pathetic smile. ]

Go Ask Alice (July 31st; Closed to Close CR and Survivor Castmates)
[ So it was all an illusion. Luca is not surprised.

Perhaps he dodged a bullet, he thought as he went to seek out people he's familiar with. Old faces he met at the manor, mostly, but other people he must have met in this world before are fine too. He really needs a friend to ease the heavy feeling in his heart... ]

How was it? [ ... ] That... Dimension thing. Did you go in?

option i.

    [Festivals, huh.

This felt just like home, when they'd celebrate obon and a part of that kind of makes her a little homesick, even if she'd never tell anyone, much less show it on her face. It's times like this when she's grateful for her poker face.

Of course she turns down the chromawear; technology on clothes is bound to go wrong, and she's already chosen the proper yukata for the occasion. It's a design that doesn't stand out and allows her to keep herself in the background for the most part.

(She still stands out enough, given that she's a Moonblessed.)

The jewelry based off of drinks kind of look cute, but she has no reason to get any rings right now. She surprisingly frowns, a sense of longing and a speck of tears start at the edges of her eyes.]

    Stupid...

[She mumurs mostly to herself wiping her eyes with a sleeve of her kimono before glancing around.

Regardless of who it is, however-]

You saw nothing, alright? [And more insistent:] Got it?

    [She wasn't crying! She wasn't!!]

option ii.

[Sad events aside, Inaba is making an attempt at having fun for once.

While she might have seen celebrations like this in her hometown - and they tended to be big, she generally spent a lot of her days at home on her computer (especially in middle school) or only going because one of her so-called 'friends' from back then - which, if she were to be honest, she could not seriously call friends; they were just people that she used to just simply... get by - asked her to come with them. It was just simply a social obligation.

    Now was different, however.

There was no 'social obligation' to fulfill here, though.

So things were already drastically different.

Which is probably why you might hear Inaba ask at random intervals:]

'Scuse me, what's the best food around here? [Or:] Are any of the games rigged? I might want to try my hand at them. [Or:] ... You don't know how to dance, do you? Because I sure as hell don't.

option iii.

[Well, it sure is good to have confirmation that Prismals sure lost their abilities to moonlace!!

    But more importantly, 'Dimension X'.

Inaba is... skeptic. Of course she had her doubts from the very beginning, given that illusions were no uncommon thing in this world. And well - she doesn't think that she can reach her world like this so easily.

Of course, she'll message any of her close CR that she'll be going in, in the off chance any of them plan on sitting out. But she's also very wary and also too keenly aware that things can and could go to absolute shit.

Anyone who visits her world might be brought to a school - in fact, they might just see Inaba herself, back in her usual blue hues of a school uniform instead of any casual stuff.

And it's only natural that she'd run into some familiar faces.

One of them being a particular teenager, who she seems to be frowning deeply at the voice, a heavy sigh making her shoulders sag.]

You're not real. This world isn't-- [But then he violently grabs at her arm, causing Inaba to panic. She's not strong at all, and tears start immediately at the edges of her eyes.] H-hey, stop...

[There's definitely something frantic in her voice as desperation leaks out, looking out towards the nearest person:]

    Help-!

[Even if it might be an 'illusion', this one still hurts. And not just emotionally.]

wildcard.

[Want to play something else? I'm pretty open to a lot; I'm skipping on on the effects (for her) on the first two prompts, but I'm free to have her deal with effected characters. Plotting toplevel is here and as always, feel free to hit me up via PM, Plurk ([plurk.com profile] tsundereban) or Len#0139 (Discord)!]

[Have you ever met a middle-aged white man in a cowboy hat and a yukata? Because I'm so sorry. You're about to meet one right now.]

Hey. Hi.

[Here he comes, the absolute Texan motherfucker, slapping a robotic, artificial hand on your shoulder without warning. He's wearing one of those gorgeous drink themed rings, specifically the Blue Amegaharan, on a small string around his neck. mostly because didn't have proper size for either his prosthetic, skeletal fingers on one hand or his cartoon-sized sausage fingers on the other hand.]

Howdy. Hey. Excuse me. Do you...

[Engineer clears his throat. Eyes unfocused, slightly swaying, raspy giggling between every start and stop. His yukata is a swirl of red and blues, churned in haphazard directions like it's equally tipsy, with tiny little cigarettes dotting the design. Despite a lack of alcohol on his breath, the man is clearly inebriated.

Which is weird, because he knows he can hold his liquor better than this. And he hasn't even HAD any!]

You got, um... [He laughs again.] You got a cigarette?

[B: COME ALONG AND RIDE ON A FANTASTIC VOYAGE]
[Welp. By the time literal gods bust out of nowhere and started telling stories like it was nothing, Engineer took a lot of mental notes. It was immediately forgotten, though, when Vulpus opened the portal.

He couldn't lie. He stepped inside without much thought. Even if it was temporary, he had been here too damn long. The portal could have dumped him in a cornfield for all he cared, he just had to see something from home.

Too bad he got what he wished for. The first thing he sees is a familiar woman - tall, sharp, and imposing, standing in the corner of a bedroom built out of a cave with her arms folded. Engineer stares.]

Ma'am?

[Before she can answer, the bedroom doors suddenly swing open. Outside, for some reason, leads to familiar New Mexican desert. Buildings are old, sparse, decrepit. There's a whirl of metal on machie, though, as incoming robots pour of an enormous ship in the distance, stomping on blood-stained dirt, detached limbs, and general gore.

To top it all off, there's a giant bread monster right behind them.

Engineer stares longer. These things... they happened back hone. All of it, even the mutant, sentient bread. But none of it happened like this. Not all at once. The mercenary pulls a pistol out of his yukata (??? somehow).]

Ma'am, what the hell's goin' o--

[He turns. Just as suddenly as she arrived, she was gone. Engineer stares a third time - but not for long. Son, he snaps back to the incoming army.

Finally, the Texan curses, and runs outside.]

[Rochelle was kicking back on a inner tube in the sea water. Then Momo pokes all three heads out of the water, and Ro flips out of her floatie with a help.

She lifts her head up out of the water with a gasp and a cough. Despite the shock, she suddenly remembers what the Amegaharans told her. She thought Momo was just some kind of cautionary tale to scare her until, well... she was looking at him.]

Oh, holy shit. You're real.

[She pushes her hair out of her face and coughs again. Fortunately for her, Momo doesn't seem too bothered by her presence. He will, however, glance a head towards an unopened beer can she left sitting on the dock. Another head leans closer to her. Rochelle, putting two and two together quickly enough, lifts a placating hand up.]

N-No, I'm not gonna... I wasn't gonna drink it here! I wasn't gonna, uh... pollute anything! I just left it there! See? Promise?

[Momo doesn't seem too pissed, if anything. Mainly, he just stares, breathing slowly, as if giving her a silent warning.]

[B: COME ALONG AND RIDE ON A FANTASY VOYAGE]
[It took a lot longer to decided whether she wanted to go through Vulpus's portal than she cared to admit. One one hand, the only thing left back in her zombie apocalypse-ridden home was probably death. On the other... if Vulpus wasn't lying, maybe she could find her friends and family. Maybe she could bring them back with her.

It doesn't take long to realize something wasn't right, though. For the most part - everything was accurate. She was in the middle of New Orleans, smoke dotting in the sky between random fires and bombed-out buildings. Several gray-skinned zombies stumbled through the streets, sat against walls, or laid on the ground as they gasped dirty, raspy breaths.

The problem was, none of them seemed to notice her as she walked down New Orleans's bloodstained streets.

Then she heard crying.

Around a corner, a woman in tattered clothing sat hunched over in an alley. She was crying in loud, long wails, face buried in ashen palms sporting long, bloodied claws.

Rochelle swears under her breath. She's about to turn and walk away, when--

"Help, man! Anybody out there?!"

It's the voice of a young man with a Georgian accent in the distance. Rochelle whirls around. The voice is so unmistakably, painfully familiar. It had to be--]

Ellis?!

[She runs a few steps ahead and - unfortunately, right in front of the crying woman. Shit. She knew better than this. She knew better than to startle a Witch. Now the woman - the Witch - gasps and starts to stand, growling at her through bloody teeth.]

IA: Gonna Dress You Up...
[Being able to even walk around a festival like this is something Faust never expected to be able to do even before he became Infected. It’s easy enough to move about the stalls and bustling people without drawing too much attention to himself or even having to use his Arts, which does put him slightly more at ease. But he doesn’t have much Chroma and has been avoiding looking too much at any of the food or drink.

But what does catch his attention- and curiosity- is the yukata booth.

It seems that him lingering on the outskirts watching draws the attention of some of the booth staff who bustle him inside to dress up and join in the festivities. While he doesn’t exactly love the attention he also doesn't struggle, just blinking in clear confusion as a yukata is placed in his arms. It looks a lot like some of the clothing he saw the uninfected wearing in the wealthier parts of Lungmen but it's definitely nothing he's worn before.]

... What am I supposed to do with this?

[Unfortunately the staff has already gone off to attend to other attendees, so he just glances around for someone either as lost as him or who looks like they figured this thing out.]

IB: In My Love
[Eventually Faust does manage to get into his yukata one way or the other. It’s... Weird, both to wear this sort of clothing and to not be without his usual jacket. It was a small familiar bit of home so now being stripped of it makes him feel exposed. At least he didn’t have his crossbow on him...

His yukata has taken on a pattern of shifting scales ranging from shades of blue, purple, and the occasional white. Black crystalline formations spring up along the edges and across seemingly random patches on the fabric and he watches them for a moment with a slight frown before they fade. Trying to ignore them he moves on back among the festival proper, watching the dancers. But in the crowd he brushes against someone just enough to bump them, only sparing a brief glance as he steps back.]

Sorry.

[Now those black crystals will spring up on your yukata... Almost like an infection.]

II: Come Along
[Faust knew he shouldn’t have come. Some part of him had just known that the promise of returning to Terra was too good to be true. Maybe it’s just his lingering doubts over how he’s even alive here, but ultimately he can’t overcome his curiosity. Or his guilt. He had left his squad, left Mephisto... And maybe he had hoped that knowing his final wishes had been carried out would make moving on easier.

But almost immediately it's clear that something is wrong.

He had taken a lot of time to memorize the layouts of Lungmen, to strategize and plan for their attack... But nothing in this place is the same. It isn’t Chernobog either. The construction seems to be a mix of both the cities and others that he’s unfamiliar with, the all-too black rocks of Originium jutting out between it all. He doesn’t see anyone from Rhodes Island or the L.G.D. but he doesn’t see anyone else from Reunion either, only the occasional bodies of what appear to be civilians in the rubble. Finally he does come across a much more familiar sight though: shambling figures with more of those same rock formations jutting out of their skin.

At first he almost-almost- feels relief. Wherever the Herd is means that Mephisto must be nearby... So Faust draws nearer and speaks up:]

Where is Mephisto? Where is everyone else?

[While they can’t speak anymore he knows that they should normally at least recognize him and understand enough to take him to their leader. But… Something is off. When they turn to stare at him it’s in hunger and loathing and only a beat of silence passes before the crowd of mutated figures lunges, making their way for the sniper.]

What are you doing?! Don’t you recognize me?

[But Faust knows that there’s no reasoning with the Herd; they can’t hear him and are too far gone to care who is who. So he just turns and runs, navigating through the mix of familiar and unfamiliar terrain as fast as he can.

But out of the corner of his eye he spots another figure moving about the buildings and clearly unaware of the danger closing in. He turns sharply to make a beeline for the stranger, not even bothering to explain himself as he grabs their arm.]

You need to get out of here!

gonna dress you up in my love

[Sypha's never been a festival-goer, but far be it from her to ignore a celebration. The Prismals've managed to stick her with a Chromawear yukata mirroring the colors of her Speaker robes, and she takes easily to the new garment, wandering around the festival and inspecting the booths curiously. She's been eager to try the new foods and see the new sites, and at some point during the night she seems to have a cup of sake stuck in her hand. No ring yet. She's seen people around with them and...well, she thinks they're a little tacky and uncomfortable to wear, but time will tell.

Still, as the night goes on, her outfit kind of...flickers, sometimes. Sometimes it will shift to the image of a burning building, a flash of strange, biblical demons, or maybe creepiest of all, a wall of children's shoes. Always for just a moment, before it returns to its normal colors. Unless you happen to pick it up. Huh. Have fun with that.

Before long she's had her share of liquor, her cheeks tinged pink and a grin on her face, lingering by a ring-toss stand and making small-talk with friendly festival goers. She's not quite drunk, and she's not looking to get there tonight. But the alcohol has opened her up some, and she's going to win this prize.]

Oh my god, look at it!

beyond the sea

[What the everloving fuck is her life. A giant, friendly sea monster brought her to this island, and it barely even registers as weird anymore.

Well, once she's here, at least, she appreciates the tranquility. She's changed out of her robes into a lighter outfit, a tank-top and gray cargo shorts, and she's started up a bonfire on the beach, crackling away into the night. She can see so many stars from here, brighter than she's even known, especially compared to the light pollution she's been living under for the past week or so. It reminds her of being home, traveling at night with her family and sleeping under the starlight. It's nice. It's a moment of calm that she deeply appreciates right now.

But of course, she's not the only one on the beach. Someone else catches her eye, maybe another stargazer, maybe just coming up on dry land after a swim. Maybe they're about to go up and kick sand in her face or dunk her in the ocean like a rude bastard. Still, she'll be torn out of her head for a minute and greet them to break the silence, huffing out an amused sigh.]

Don't mind me.

come along and ride

[Sypha watched the entire spectacle that was Vulpus' introduction with rapture and concern. The kitsune spoke benevolently, and is power is certainly that of a god's, there's something in her that isn't exactly eager to accept his word as the complete truth. Maybe his godhood, maybe the convenience of it all, maybe because she recognizes that returning the planet to its former glory means doing something with all of them. And though she isn't eager to go straight home so soon, not after her last introduction to a creepy portal, she sees after the dust has settled that Vulpus more than eager to engage in trickery.

Still, this is the first she's heard of the Calamity. And his word all she has to go off right now. So the next morning, Sypha finds herself sipping a cup of hot coffee and searching through shelves upon shelves of library books, anything that could hold even the smallest amount of relevance to the past. She's not going to find much, she knows that, but sometimes scraps of old knowledge can be found in unexpected places. Pieces of things otherwise forgotten. And if the seals of the gods are beginning to break, she has to know as much about this story as she can. This is what she's good at, piecing together stories of gods and monsters and adventures of the past and future, and she's determined to not miss anything this time.

So maybe you find her sprawled out in a corner, books swallowing her body up like a pit of quicksand. Or maybe you reach for the same book on a shelf and she asks you what you're after it for. Maybe it gets to be late at night and Sypha's here far later than she should be, digging through manuscripts, re-contextualizing some of her knowledge. But regardless, she's a Speaker. She knows things. Naturally, she wants to know more things. Give her a hand?]

A. GONNA DRESS YOU UP IN MY LOVE
[ A festival in the summer is only natural in Doumeki's opinion. The free yukata are nice, and his is, well, this. It looks perfectly normal on the front, though!! But is there a reason there's like a hot pin-up of Yashiro on the back? Well, you'll have to ask to find out I guess...

He's in a good mood, which for him means he's got the same expression as always, but there's a little more warmth to his voice than usual. Maybe it's the alcohol, or maybe it's the cool ring (the cherry popper, if you're curious) some vendor foisted on him, but even when he's separated from his boss, his good mood stays. He's currently taking a break by a large sake barrel, holding one of those square, wooden cups when he calls out to you. (Assuming you have CR, or maybe he thought you were someone else?)
]

Hey. Are you enjoying the festival?

[ Wow, he really is drunk. Doumeki?? Asking people how they're doing?? This is Doumeki gone wild. ]

B. OR, LATER...
[ Festivals are all about food, dancing and games! Doumeki's got a grilled squid on a stick that he's taking a bite out of, and he wound up with a fox mask tied around his head, because why not. His good mood from earlier continues, and while you'd have to pull him into the crowd in order to get him dancing, he's watching the stalls and the festival games (especially the shooting ones) with a keen interest. Maybe he could win something for the boss... ]

C. DIMENSION X
[ Doumeki's other prompt is going to get quite dark so I didn't include it here! But if you want to learn his sad backstory, the warnings are in the post. ]

A [fox festival] 25th-29th

[Although he's not quite as excited and outgoing as some of his previous outings, Ferran nonetheless pays a few visits to Amegahara for its festival, especially enjoying the sea and the souvenirs available.

Should anyone meet his eye or approach, they'll be met with a friendly smile. He can be roped into many things, including help with yukata, riding or befriending Momo, exploring the city and island, or a quick dive into the ocean to dispel any bathhouse-based enchantments.]

B [unwanted gift] 30th

[Everything goes south fairly quickly after the fox god arrives.

Ferran doesn't want to go home—he hasn't since he's gotten here, and he didn't imagine he'd want to anytime in the near future. As he moves to leave, however, some Moonblessed very excited to see their own homes overpower his retreat, and before he knows it he's standing in the empty street of a suburb, and a sense of familiarity washes over him despite the details of the buildings being obscured. He knows it because one of his friends lives in that apartment complex, across from a shopping center that's seen better days.

Any time he might have had to further examine things is cut off by the clanking of crystal claws against concrete and a flash of red diving towards him. He barely ducks out of the way, transforming out of instinct before his feet even hit the ground.

A hulking four-legged creature like a giant featureless dog made of gemstone snarls at him, scraping lines on the ground with its hooves as it moves into an aggressive stance. But instead of their usual black, its color matches the gem on Garnet's sword. That's only supposed to happen when they're under his control—he thought?]

What? But—

[More of them appear, leaping off of roofs and around corners, until he's surrounded. He might need some assistance.]

C [a bad time] 31st

[It's almost dawn by the time he gets away from the crystal creatures, and he finds himself deeper in the city, staring up at one of the skyscrapers that's been familiar to him most of his life. Dread sends his stomach plummeting, and he steps back only to find hands on his shoulders and his worst fears realized.

Ferran, my dear. I've been worried.

A handsome man in a suit gives Ferran a subdued smile, amber eyes searching him for something, although his expression gives no indication of what or whether he's found it. Ferran is frozen in place and doesn't say a word, but this doesn't seem to deter the dark-haired man from his one-sided conversation.

You must need to rest. Let's return home.

Maybe he didn't need help with the monsters, but he definitely looks like he needs help now—especially with that stricken wide-eyed look on his face and the way he only turns stiffly when guided by the hand still on his shoulder.]

D [aftermath] 31st

[If anyone happens to spot a young man knelt in a shaded spot in an alley after the portal closes, don't mind the shaking or choked back sobs. He just... needs a few moments to get to his feet and as far away from the idea of this as possible.]

E [beyond] 1st-?

[For at least a week, if not more, Ferran's temperament takes a sharp turn. Where he's been polite and friendly most of the time to those he meets, he's become taciturn and gloomy, encouraging little conversation, with his voice quiet should anyone speak with him.

Whatever commitments he might have made, he follows through, excepting anything that might require him to transform into his magical persona or use the abilities it grants him. But if anyone truly needs him to fight... well, he hasn't been the best at thinking of his own needs first.]

[A] Gonna Dress You Up
[ This is really the first time that Finn's getting out after coming back to Prismatica, after realizing he could feel things that others couldn't. He had a nice, good, long break-down about having the Force, kind of losing his mind there for a day or two, but he's more or less composed himself. Coming to Amegahara for the Celebration is a task he's making himself do just to get around people again.

He's determined to have fun, so it's naturally going to end miserably, he's certain. Finn snagged one of those rings, the one they called 'Iris Pulse.' He also grabbed one of those magical yukatas after being afraid of what they may show. The fear was why he got it, like he's trying to prove he's not scared (or scary). So far it hasn't done anything except display colors, and he's been sporting black with red accents for an uncomfortably long while now. Why can't it be rainbows and butterflies or something?

Finn walks into the throng of people, intending to ask just about anyone he recognizes for a dance... when he's whisked away by a happy, lizard-looking Prismal. Apparently, he ended up in some sort of dance? Finn doesn't argue, laughing until the Prismal spins him away, only for Finn to end up in the arms of-... Oh. ]

Hi.

[B] Somewhere Waiting For Me (multiple prompts)
[ Finn really really likes Momo. The hydra reminds him of his Eidolon friends back on Vaikuntha and, as soon as he has the sea beast's ear during the ferry ride, he tells him all about how much an ass Leviathan and Ultros were while regaling a couple of stories about his adventures with Ramuh, Titan, and Shiva.

Once on the island, he's almost not surprised at all to find little shrines sprinkled about. It's unclear who or what they're for, though. Momo is Finn's immediate assumption but it doesn't really matter. He takes time to go around to a bunch of them to spruce them up and clean around them a little. This whole little adventure makes him feel a little more connected to the Eidolons again, something he never thought he'd miss so much, so he's bumbling around happily to make them as pristine as possible.

Eventually, Finn makes it to The Four Penguins and has managed to relax a great deal even before arriving. Deciding to indulge, he rests in one of the open baths and doesn't really realize that something weird's happening until an hour has passed, he's submerged past his chin, and the idea of leaving is physically revolting. His brow knits together in thought before he sighs and sinks nearly up to his eyes. Knew today was too good. ]

A
Ah-- Ma'am. I'm okay. I'm fine. I don't need different clothes--

[It must have been a strange sight to stumble upon in the Prissy Polyp for regulars on the day of the festival. One of the sales clerks, a dainty fox with a teasing smile and long hair that fell like a crimson cascade down her back, had a towering man bedecked in a dusty coat and equally dusty cowboy hat backed into a corner with a look of blatant confusion painted on his face. He had only come along to the festivities because, frankly, what else was he going to do? A part of him was still too unnerved by the city itself to be comfortable touching anything, nonetheless getting comfortable.

Marshall had hoped that being more connected with nature by the sea might help ground him. The disorienting lights and incessant buzzing in the rare intervals of silence in the city left him profoundly uncomfortable.

Turning his head uncomfortably as the little fox insisted further upon at least trying a on a yukata, he finally sighed, and relented.

Chroma-anything was still a new concept to him, but when the vermillion patterning settled, a bold landscape could be viewed on his back.

Not that he parted with the hat. He would never part with the hat.

--What he didn't expect after he finally complied with the strange requests was to be shoved toward the changing tents. Standing heads taller than the average man and solidly built, this was no mean feat.

Once again baffled, he shook his head at the nearest person before asking:]

Now what?

B

[The rumors of the creature that lurked in the depths of the nearby sea reached his ears quickly, and for the first time since arriving in this strange land he felt the tug of something familiar in his core. Strange beasts were something he knew a thing or two about; appeasing spooked and angered livestock was a job that paid him okay enough. What was this... 'Momo' but not another entity to negotiate with.

Armed with a jug of what he determined to be fine (enough) spirits, Marshall approached a quiet stretch of shore and, removing his hat, knelt by the waterline to watch over the distant horizon that melted into an inky black in the distance. If he dipped his hands in the cool water, covering his fingers fully and digging them lightly in the sand and splashed the cold seawater upon his face, it was probably nothing.

The small set of kitchy drinkware sitting beside the jug was probably nothing too.]

C

[He was a tad red in the face as he dabbled by the edges of the water in the bathhouse, studiously keeping his eyes trained away from anyone else even while he slipped deep into the water to enjoy a soak.]

...'s different from a tonsorial parlor. I wonder if this is what it's like in Hot Springs?

[He drawled idly, not expecting an answer. Having never seen the spa town in Arkansas himself, all he had were rumors and stories told by seasoned travellers of their visits to the miraculous healing waters that bubbled up from the mountain ravines.]

A. Yukata Be Kidding Me

[Gumshoe is in attendance at the festival. His hair is just slightly less messy than usual, and he's garbed in a yukata. Its default color is a tone of green identical to that of his trenchcoat. It's comfortable, but he feels weird not having the weight of the trenchcoat to carry around, or its many pockets to rely on for storage. He's here mostly to have fun, but he's also keeping wary, because you never know when a creepy Amegaharan cult's going to resurface!

Feel free to run into Gumshoe taking part in any festival activities! Perhaps find him looking over the drink-inspired rings indecisively? Or perhaps some kind of yukata malfunction has just happened or is about to happen!]

B. Momo and Me

[Gumshoe could also be found at the shore, where he gets to know Momo. He can be seen gently putting and talking with the giant deity. Or he could be coming to intervene if someone else is having trouble with Momo.

Or much later on, Gumshoe will ride atop Momo towards the sacred island! Feel free to join him for the ride! Talk him up, admire the scenery?]

C. This Means Water

[Gumshoe feels like he's trying out each area's baths at this point! Because here he is, wearing a pair of swimming trunks and relaxing in the waters of the Four Penguins. Although rather than relaxed, he's starting to feel more energetic and playful! He'll swim around as if it's a normal swimming pool. Anyone who's already sharing the water with him may get splashed! And anyone outside, he'll call out to them.]

Come on in, pal! The water's fine!

[He may just end up reaching for an ankle to tug someone right into the water!]

D. Xt in Line

{Eventually, Vulpus appears. It's an incredible moment, and Gumshoe tries to jot down as many notes as he can about what the fox has to say. And then there's that offer... to let them actually go back to their worlds. It seems too good to be true! But Gumshoe's mostly taken in by the fox's words and decides to test it out.]

Well pal, here goes nothing...

[And so he wanders into the portal! He's not even sure what he hopes to accomplish. Assuming this works, he doesn't want to drag anyone else away from home to potentially get stuck at Lunatia. He doubts anyone would come willingly anyway! ....Except for maybe that Butz guy. But rather than a chance to drag people across worlds, Gumshoe sees this as a way to just say hi to pop in on people he misses and say hi. That can't go bad, right?

Except of course for how Weird this whole dimension thing is! There aren't exactly dimensions, so now he's wandering through landmarks of various worlds. Perhaps he's ended up wandering through some strange part of someone else's world? Or maybe he has ended up in something resembling a place from his own world, like a courtroom or part of an amusement park. And there's also the possibility of a strange blue being lurking around...]

PROMPTS

A. High Fashion (Event)
[ As with most festivities, Sandalphon finds himself somewhat reluctant. Equally frequent is his reason for participation: Lucifer showed interest, and he isn't about to tell him no. Not in this lifetime, or any other. Which leads Sandalphon to end up in a Prismal-issued yukata as part of the festivities for this occasion. It seems awfully plain, and he doesn't know the purpose behind this, but it soon leaves his thoughts. Instead, he focuses on the festivities themselves.

That is, until Lucifer wanders off to purchase some foodstuffs that caught his eye. This leaves Sandalphon standing about, arms folded and waiting.

Until he looks down and his jaw drops.

Is his yukata festooned with images of Lucifer? It absolutely is. Of course, if someone only knows Lucio, they might well mistake that visage for his. ]

What nonsense is this!?

[ How dare a garment have the audacity to take on the image of Lucifer's smiling face! ]

B. Familiar Scenery (Event)
[ The notion of any lone being returning them to their homes "temporarily" seems absurd, but Sandalphon decides he'll entertain the notion just the same. What he finds is a jumble of foreign architecture and people, none of which seem remotely familiar to him at all. That is, until he comes across a small, single-story house flanked by a squadron of coffee trees.

At least, they look like coffee trees. Upon closer inspection, the fruit that should be red is in fact deep indigo, and Sandalphon frowns deeply. ]

As I suspected.

[ What did he suspect? He doesn't explain, marching into the house. One step into the quaint residence is all that it takes to have one's senses flooded by the scent of coffee. It permeates the air within this dwelling, and further observation goes to show that there are none of the modern amenities of some worlds, and none of the futuristic technologies of Lunatia either. ]

I wonder how they conjure all this...

C. All Washed Up (Event, Lucifer Only)
[ Roughly a year hence, Sandalphon recalls visiting the dragons' hot springs, after they had delivered the young dragons they had raised. With equal clarity, he remembers that Lucifer had not been present for it. He'd thought it a shame at the time that Lucifer was unable to enjoy something relaxing and indulgent. Certainly, if anyone deserved it, it was the Primarch of Evolution who had watched over the skies for millennia as Supreme Primarch.

As a result, he sees a trip to the bath house as an opportunity. It may not be the same as visiting hot springs, but it's worth the venture. For that reason, he tugs Lucifer along to the building, having a look around as though a critical eye could tell him anything about whether some bizarre influence would overtake them or not. Of course, it's never really that easy to anticipate anything here. ]

I hope it really is just a bath house...

[ Really, he just wants Lucifer to enjoy himself. That's not so much to ask, is it? ]

(Prompts D + E not included here, as they're non-event, but are in the log.)

01. YUKATA DAY

[The last Vulpus Astra, celebrated in Lunatia by the foxy visitors from Amegahara... Despite how lovely it had seemed, the lanterns laden with wishes released into the sky, the familiar foods and dances... It hadn't ended well, had it? Supposedly all that chaos and the kidnappings had been the work of some fringe group, but... Well, there was strength in numbers, it seemed most all the Moonblessed would be attending, and going to a festival sounded all too tempting after the crushed hopes of the last month. ... Plus, no offense to the humans, but. She figured they made better kidnapping targets than a half ton centaur.

So Konoha pulls her yukata out of storage, generously waters the chroma flower by the side of the house, and accompanies the other jinba along the highway to Amegahara, ready to lose herself a little in the bright lights, summer heat, and energetic drum beats of a festival.]

A. FOOD) [One of her favorite festival things... is the food. She's a simple woman, alright, she loves eating delicious things, and here in a world where she was actually financially well off enough to just buy whatever food she pleased? She's ready to try everything! Some of the offerings are what she's used to from home, but others are more odd... Odd enough that she stops dead in path, distracted by-]

What is that...

[They're... chocobanana. Surely they aren't eaten whole from the stick like that... Isn't that way too phallic??? She must not be guessing right.]

B. DRESSING) [The clothing the foxes preferred and were helping Moonblessed into might be a bit brighter, a bit more flashy and creative than the simpler patterns and colors she was accustomed to, but a yukata was a yukata, and she knew it well! So as she makes her way around the festival, if she sees someone who seems to be struggling with their garment or having some trouble...]

Need some help?

[Can you trust a seven foot tall centaur to be a yukata expert? She looks like she thinks she's one, at least, smiling affably in offer.]

C. TIPSY) [Though she doesn't normally wear jewelry beyond an occasional nice ribbon or hair accessory, Konoha had been unable to shake off a particularly passionate ring hawker without buying an orange stone that now glitters on her finger. (A bit gaudily, if she's being honest, but he'd said it was tradition in this place, and popular, and okay, fine, she'll support a local merchant.)

Thanks to that ring, though, Konoha is feeling something she never really has managed in her own world. Do you know how much and how fast a jinba would have to drink to get truly intoxicated? Way more and way faster than a normal person would like to or could afford, that's what, but the sake flows freely during the festival nights, and so Konoha...

Is drunk.

And stumbling over her own hooves when she tries to look up at the lanterns and walk at the same time, barely catching herself and maybe accidentally bumping someone else or needing their shoulder for balance in the process, warm cheeks flush with the distinctive red of inebriation.]

Oh, goodness, I'm so sorry-

[She really is, she had no business not watching where she was going when she weighed three or four times more than most other people around here...]

02. OCEAN DAY

[After experiencing the first hangover of her life, Konoha is quite content to spend the next day relaxing, taking in the beauty of the island and the night sky reflected in the sea. It's quiet in some areas, which is nice, and not too crowded, so... She gives in to temptation to do something she hadn't often done at home.

Rolling.

Growing up among humans as she had, Konoha had a tiny complex about acting in ways that were considered more horse-like, having always been aware of wanting to establish herself as a person not a beast, like her kind had been treated just a single generation before. But the water looked so cool and the sand looked like it would feel so good on her coat, so... looking around to confirm she was alone, she strips down to her thin inner layer of clothing and carefully folds her yukata and skirt to place on a nearby rock.

Circling a patch on the sand, she nudges a seashell out of the way here, kicks a bit of driftwood aside there, and then goes down. Having humans hands to work with makes the movements more graceful than an actual horse, able to brace herself and help move her heavier lower body all the way over to begin coating her bay coat with sand, wriggling a bit as she indulges in a good roll, eyes squeezing shut and whimpering happily as she stretches her arms out and arches both her backs in a good stretch-

But then her eyes open and she freezes, on her back and looking upwards with all four legs in the air as she realizes.

Oh. Not alone anymore.]

03. DIMENSION X

[The world Konoha came from might seem downright bucolic to those who stumble into that section of Dimension X. No magic and no technology more advanced than a weaving loom can be found here, in Etchu Province at the dawn of the Edo period.

There's a sekisho barrier checkpoint along the highway that connected the province to Edo and other major cities days and weeks away, a bustling town built up around it, and a farming village within traveling distance, nestled in a valley between the mountains. But perhaps the one detail that stands out the most is that, in addition to townsfolk and farmers and merchants and craftsmen... there's also centaurs. There's nowhere near as many, and with a few exceptions seem to largely be toiling in manual labor roles, but they're there, dressed in a strange manner and going about their day alongside humans.]

A. FESTIVAL) [You may have just left Amegahara's summer festival behind, but you've apparently walked right into another one. Occasionally an old-fashioned firework bursts into lights and colors overhead, and on a stage in the middle of town two priestesses carry out a sacred kagura dance before the shrine alter and an audience. There's stalls along the streets, bustling restaurants (some of which seem occupied by only jinba in a way that's difficult to tell if its segregated by intent or just seat size), merchants hawking wares in the street, colorful festival performances-]

Eh- ? What are you doing here?

[But at some point, a voice rings out from behind you, belonging to Konoha, a woman who looks like she belongs here... But who definitely recognizes you as a Moonblessed from Lunatia.]

B. FARM) [If you wander from the city to the villages, wandering the paths through lush fields of rice or along the base of the mountain, you may eventually find yourself approaching a thatch-roofed farmhouse. There's an elderly couple hard at work in the yard, the woman tending a fire pit while also grinding grains for a meal while the man works on repairing what looks like a modified horse's work harness. Weathered and bowed by age, they seem to radiate a humble simplicity, and at the sight of someone approaching, no matter how strange they may look-]

Father, are you expecting visitors?

[The old woman raises a hand to her cheek to examine the newcomer as the old man blinks and rubs at his eyes as if to check his sight, shaking his head.]

No... One of Konoha's friends, maybe?

[The idea seems to delight the old woman, who rises to slowly shuffle forward, shooing her husband off into the house with a "go fetch her, then, she should greet her guests!" in order to bow low before the new arrival, wiping her hands on her apron.]

Goodness... I'm so sorry to welcome you like this! Have you had a terribly long journey? Are you tired? Hungry?

[Despite her age, the woman's eyes sparkle with life and interest, her smile bright and infectious.]

A. GONNA DRESS YOU UP IN MY LOVE

[Hijikata heard enough about what a disaster last year's Vulpus Astra celebration turned into. To his best understanding it was hijacked by the Oracle of the Sinless with the intent to drain the attending Moonblessed of their chroma. Well, that won't happen again, not on his watch. He's slowly patrolling along the festival area, wearing his Moon Knight uniform with two swords at his belt and a shiny black bazooka strapped to his back. Two pouches double-strapped to his thighs hold one more rocket each (because of course this uniform doesn't come with baggy, pouch-filled trousers). Thanks to the lightweight fabric he's actually feeling comfortable enough as the sun sets behind the Akeboshi Sea, though. Feel free to approach him if you need a policeman or just want to bother him!

He eventually gets hungry, buys himself a super bass rice bowl and finds a seat within sight of the stage where the dancers are performing. Needless to say he drowns the meal in mayonnaise before eating it. Anyone who can endure that sight is welcome to sit with him! Afterwards he takes a moment to just enjoy the festival atmosphere. With all the sounds and smells in the air he almost feels like he's back in Edo - but only if he closes his eyes and mentally substitutes the cool ghostly glow of the blue lanterns with the warm red of his home. As he straps the bazooka back on and walks past a group of dancers some Lyestellians invite him to join in, but he declines. Once out of earshot he complains a little under his breath.]

Come on, I'm on duty! Who's going to take care of any surprise cultists if all the cops get roped into partying? These people are way too carefree!

[He vaguely took notice of the various stands with glassware and the Prissy Polyp's large chromawear yukata tent, but that's all none of his concern right now. He's at work and he'll take it seriously. Feel free to try and convince him otherwise!]

B. SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SEA, SOMEWHERE WAITING FOR ME

[By the time the second night of the celebration arrives Hijikata has given in and changed into a chromawear yukata. He's still lugging all his weapons around, though, safe for the spare bazooka ammunition. The previous night was peaceful, but like hell will he drop his guard because of that! He feels a little apprehensive about riding Momo across the stretch of sea - seriously, couldn't they have deployed some ferries? -, but ultimately it's a smoother ride than expected, and once on the island he sets out exploring. Soon his path takes him away from the hustle and bustle, towards the more deserted areas and the smaller shrines. He stops at one, not quite sure what to do here. Can he even pray here as a Sanguis moonblessed? Oh well, it's not like he's all that religious anyway. Still, if you are so inclined feel free to instruct him!

He decides to find a quiet spot by the beach to stargaze a little and think about the events of the last few months. He feels like he made quite a few blunders in his conduct with fellow Moonblessed, but he doesn't know what to do about it because... well, the moonblessings and random additional hurdles make things difficult to navigate for all of them. He turns his head as he hears someone approaching.]

I guess you also wanted some alone time? We'll be hard-pressed for that, huh. It's an island after all.

[He's almost considering checking out the bathhouse, but there'll still be time for that later... however if his fellow Moonblessed is eager to take him along there it probably won't take much convincing.]

C. COME ALONG AND RIDE ON A FANTASTIC VOYAGE

[When the Vulpus constellation disappears from the sky before everyone's eyes on the third night of the celebration Hijikata is sure that now they're all in deep shit. It'll probably be a beast of the Calamity paying them a visit. So be it, though. He may only be one man, but he'll protect these people tooth and nail.

He's both confused and deeply relieved when it's instead Lyestella and Vulpus - now in the flesh - who approach and explain what occurred. He listens attentively, and when Vulpus offers the Moonblessed the opportunity to briefly return to their homes he can suddenly feel a yearning he didn't know was there the whole time. He wants to see them... his commander, the captains, the officers, the inspectors, all the men who make up the Shinsengumi. He devoted his life to the Shogunate's special police, and hard as he is on his subordinates, he cares about their wellbeing. So he barely hesitates before stepping through the portal, trusting in Vulpus moreso because Lyestella considers him her friend than for any other reason. Are those his Sanguis instincts coming through?]

Amazing. It's really Edo...

[Anyone who wanders into the Gintama section of Dimension X will find themselves in the streets of Edo, with the towering space port terminal overlooking everything. Both humans and various kinds of Amanto are going about their day, the appearance of the latter ranging from "purple person with an antenna" to "furries bipedal animals wearing clothes". If you want to follow Hijikata, he's already making his way to the Shinsengumi headquarters.]

1 | Festival Feast
[Cheyenne is facing a booth selling cotton candy. Despite the blindfold on her face, she seems transfixed by the spinning candy in the machine as the prismal running the booth works.]

[And yet despite this, she isn't moving to buy any. Alas, she doesn't even have enough chroma for some sweets. But even still, her curiosity is obvious. Without turning or even giving the impression that she saw someone watching her, she speaks.]

...would you mind telling what color it is?

2 |
[Sitting on the edge of a large dance floor filled with people, Cheyenne is tapping her feet to the music -- but she makes no attempt to join in.]

...do you suppose it'll remain this crowded all night?

3 | Water Fiend | cw: underage* nsfw
[It seems Momo isn't the only sea monster around. For the past few hours, a mound of curly blonde hair has been seemingly floating around the surface of the water. Cheyenne is almost completely hidden beneath it, her eyes closed in lieu of her blindfold.]

[Perhaps this is your second dip into the baths, or maybe you heard the staff whisper about that guest who seemingly hasn't come out in hours. Regardless, one thing is certain. Cheyenne doesn't seem keen to come out any time soon, even if a glance gives away that her face is rather red.]

[...occasionally, she can heard letting out a very pleased sigh.]

4 | Mirror, Mirror
[It's just the two of them in the baths right now, Cheyenne sitting at one of the shower stalls and rinsing her hair. Wearing her blindfold is too difficult in the bath, so she's been keeping her eyes closed this whole time.]

[But the peace won't last for long. There's an odd sound -- a gasp, perhaps? And then the sound of glass shattering. Upon investigation, Cheyenne can be found curled up on her knees, hugging her now bloodied hand -- the mirror in front of her now sporting a sizable impact crack. Thank god it didn't shatter, but...]

My... apologies. My body reacted without thinking.

[Strange, she doesn't sound or look to be in pain. But she is, for all that she isn't showing it.]

( A: WHEN YOU WISH UPON A CORDIS. )
[ While Weiss is a little familiar with how kimonos are worn, she still asked for assistance in putting on a yukata. She'd picked something more bluish, with little snowflakes on them, but one of the staff at the Prissy Polyp booth chose something else for her, saying it would match her blue eyes better. She's not complaining at all. The intricate lace-like design is so beautiful to look at. It might just be Chromawear, but when she touches the fabric of her sleeves, it just... it makes her smile. She wants a real one.

Maybe it's something she can have done, at some point. It's a beautiful dress. And her hair being braided upwards, still, with the flower pin keeping it together, is so eye-catching. Maybe she needed this sort of makeover, because she feels good about herself.

Now fully dressed as a festival goer, she walks the streets of the festival to enjoy it. There's a booth with paper lanterns, where you can make wishes and send the lanterns up in the air. There's a line though, but she's keen on trying it out!! And since it's a bit of a wait, she tries to make conversation with anybody nearby. Don't judge her, she just wants someone to talk to at this time ]

What are you wishing for?

( B: DANCE WITH ME, MAKE ME SWAY. )
[ Heart Throb was a ring that caught Weiss' eye. It just looks so pretty! While her hand is small, the ring doesn't look all that huge on her finger! She was told to imbue it with Chroma to make the stones used twinkle brighter, but wasn't informed (or maybe she was just looking at other shiny things while the shopkeep was talking) that putting Chroma in the ring would make her feel drunk.

Her face is a little red as she walks around, a little more giddy than usual. In fact, when a bunch of fox Prismals stop her in her tracks to dance, she dances along with them without so much as a complaint. She's far too jovial that after catching the attention of a crowd, she pulls in whoever's watching. Come dance with the Amegaharans and herself! ]

No being a party pooper. It's a festival, so come celebrate!

[ Although if she ends up stumbling a little? Ahaha... Please excuse her! ]

( C: OBLIGATORY DIMENSION X PROMPT. )
[ It's a very scary prospect... going back to Remnant and all. She looks at the portal with uncertainty. More and more people walk past her, entering to visit their own worlds. Should she do the same?

... She looks around, wondering if there's anyone from Remnant who would want to go with her. If she spots someone looking her way, whether or not they're a familiar face, she'll give them a small smile and a wave before looking away. A deep breath. She can do this. She has to be responsible for her kingdom, after all.

Baby steps. She needs a little more courage. ]

( A: DRESS TO IMPRESS. )
[ It was a mistake to get a job at Prissy Cafe, the sister company of Prissy Polyp. It was a mistake to get a job at Prissy Cafe.

Seeing as most Lunatians and Moonblessed are over at Amegahara, Prissy Cafe has closed its operations in the meantime and is in the other city to help out the Prissy Polyp staff with their business. As such, one Lelouch vi Britannia was asked forced to put on a wig by his manager. He was also asked forced into a yukata. If it weren't for the fat paycheck he'd be receiving from all this, he would have took off his clothes already... This is very, very embarrassing.

He actually looks like princess like this. Those bright purple eyes of his shine even more with the Cordis moon's light. His task is to get more Moonblessed to put on these yukatas. As such, he offers a hand to anyone passing by. a princely smile is on his face, warm and inviting. One would think him a beautiful woman...

Until he opens his mouth, and a more masculine voice would be heard. ]

Come inside and put a yukata on. After all, there's a festival to celebrate.

( B: A PEONY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS. )
[ Finally done with work (he really should have told Orihime he didn't want to go, but he just couldn't say no to her...), he spends what's left of his free time roaming about the festival grounds. Now more comfortable with his outfit, he finds himself attracted to a booth that sells all sorts of flowers. Without even meaning to, he's now found himself helping out the old fox lady arrange flowers into pots and vases. A lot of people pass by to take a look at their wares, or even to watch as Lelouch's intricate fingers weave through stems and leaves to create flower crowns and sell them.

It's easy to recognise Lelouch since he isn't in a costume now, and he wouldn't mind leaving the stall should someone invite him to hang out. Otherwise, he's going to be offering flower crowns to anybody who passes by. The flowers truly are beautiful, and he actually has it in him to want to help an old lady. Look at that. ]

( C: IDK A TITLE GOES HERE. )
[ Lelouch's version of Earth is not something people should be seeing. The entire world is grieving, with deaths rising each day. War continues, and people remain impoverished. Zero, the ally of justice, is nowhere to be found given that it is he who wears the mask. Were he to go back to Earth, to Area 11, then his mission as Zero would just be cut short. Vulpus states it is only temporary... what change can he do in such little time?

Anybody who seems interested in venturing into the dimension, as such, will be met with a warning: ]

You should only continue on if you're sure about what you will be doing.

[ It's more than just missing your world or your friends and family. It will have an impact on one's state of mind, going back to their world temporarily and all... It is only fleeting, so you must be certain of each at you make. ]

Anduin Wrynn | Cordis | OTA

[personal profile] shalamayne 2020-07-25 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)
GONNA DRESS YOU UP IN MY LOVE.

[ Anduin Wrynn is wandering around slowly, trying to take in all the sights around him. It seems to be some kind of a festival and despite the fact that Sylvanas is around somewhere, he can't help but go and take a look. That and there's a real chance the other will show up and a part of Anduin can't help but feel as if she's partly his responsibility. It doesn't stop him being shoehorned into a Yukata for the occasion, only just allowed to keep hold of his sword for now. The Yukata itself is comfortable, shimmering in a myriad of blues and golds; standard Stormwind colours that are almost as much a part of Anduin as they are the city. Yet at the back of the outfit is a tinge of red, a glaring concern over a certain Horde member being around, something Anduin is unable to shake. Occasionally one of his sleeves will flicker with a black and violet colour as Anduin's thoughts turn to guilt and annoyance over a certain dragon.

It seems that thoughts can't be hidden here and Anduin tries not to think too much on that one, admiring other people's outfits as he peers at the nearby jewellery. Drink jewellery? How does that work? The Blue Amegaharan looks nice but he's still dubious about it.]

So they make you drunk without needing to drink?

SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SEA.

[ Anduin would be an absolute liar if he said the scenery on day two wasn't calming, more more relaxed that the previous day. There's something tranquil about it and Anduin can't help but stare up at the Cordis moon. It's soothing and beautiful all at once and a little part of him is reminded of night elves back home. What would they think of such a sight?

Soon enough the King pulls himself away from star gazing, coming across the bathhouse and almost reeling from a sudden rush of elation. It's almost as if he's just discovered something for the first time and Anduin hesitates, caught up in the moment to wonder if anything is wrong. The water looks inviting but is it really time for a bath?? He just had one before he turned up here??

The water does look amazing, though.]

It would be rude to decline, surely...?

COME ALONG

[ The story of the old days is nothing short of fascinating, Anduin listening to every single word of it. Though when a portal is created that sense of wonder is dulled as apprehension kicks in. Is this for real or not? It's hard to tell and the Light seems awfully silent on the subject. Should he go in?

It doesn't take long for Anduin to decide to take the chance, knowing it's worth to at least take a look and he steps through into the city of Stormwind. At first things seem fine enough and the young King can't help the smile on his face. Home. Lush trees were finally growing their apples for the season and the sound of water in the canals is a soothing balm on frayed nerves. That being said, Anduin can't help but wonder if something is off. There doesn't seem to be many people around? He shrugs it off for the moment, heading for the Keep and straight into the throne room, coming to a sudden stop. His father is standing right there. His dead father. Not only that but Varian Wrynn does not look best pleased and the other man suddenly reaches out to grab hold of his son's arm in a tight grip.

"Where have you been?! Everyone has been looking for you! Why do you keep wandering off?!"

Varian isn't just angry he's downright furious and up this close Anduin can't help but notice that this isn't right in any way. Not only had his father curbed his temper for the most part, but there's something off about the eyes. They're a different colour. It's such a subtle thing but it has all the impact of a hammer blow, Anduin's bones suddenly aching in both trepidation and outright horror. This wasn't home in any shape or form it was just another thing to be seen, a vision almost. Just the thought of the last vision, full of darkness and old gods has Anduin twisting his arm to try and shake loose from Varian's grip. He doesn't manage it, if anything the dead king tightens his hold, causing Anduin to briefly gasp in pain.]

Father, let go of me —

[ He didn't want to have to raise his hand and try to get loose by attacking this vision of his father is he could get away with it. Even though the other has subtle differences there are still some things that are right and it's just all too soon to end up having such a scene lingering in his mind.]

....don't make me do this.

Rainbow in the (Night) Sky

She'd been looking forward to this, especially since very similar celebrations happened last year. This year though? Konoka was all about being able to enjoy stuff she normally couldn't, or at least didn't think about as often.

Throughout the celebration, Konoka's almost like a wide-eyed, excited kid. The 3-A thirst for excitement just never died, even with her separate from everyone else. (a) The night views of the festival are amazingly pretty to look at, and every view is different enough that she wants to see all the angles! There's a giant hydra that's… actually cute, once you actually greet him (plus watching him terrorize polluters is actually kinda funny). There's great food to try out! (b) And interestingly enough, there are also these nice drink rings. They're pretty, though at the moment she was unaware of their drunken effects. For most of these things, anyone encountering Konoka would find her excitedly trying something out or giggling over something or other.

(c) Though she'd been collecting yukatas and kimonos since Amegahara had been opened to general travel, she wasn't about to turn down a free one. She noted that these required help (since apparently they were built to run on Chroma?), so naturally she figured it was a great way to meet new people (and perhaps see what was going on with old friends) and would approach anyone who wasn't hostile to ask, "Hey, would you help me put this on? I'll help you with yours, too!"

We Back Again in the Mahora Now

The explanation of Dimension X told her that… something was illusory. If it was temporary, then they'd have to have some sort of caveat. How did it work? Still, she wanted to see home again, even if it was just for a short time. But having experienced Cosmo Entelechiea, Konoka knew better than to buy into it completely.

Still, she opened this invitation to others. "You can see what home is like. Maybe it's just a dream of sorts, but honestly, I still wanna see it. And I wanna show you, too! Please, come with me!"

Upon stepping forward into Dimension X, they'd find themselves… in the middle of a crowded speed train. Filled to the brim with students of many ages, they jostled each other for space but none grew dangerous or inconvenient. None paid much attention to Konoka or her interloper. The train came to a stop and the door opened. The students burst free, either literally running or using a personal vehicle of choice. Konoka had to fight the impulse to don her skates and run with them.

Just stepping outside would show a long, nigh immaculate building that was the main classroom building of Mahora Academy, and many of the students were rushing their way there.

And so began their magical tour of Konoka's homeworld.

VAVA | Megaman X | Iris

Gonna Dress You Up in My Love

[ VAVA didn't know what possessed him to come to the beach in this city, but he regretted it pretty much immediately. he could have just stuck to the city streets or something else, not gotten pulled in by the violent current of festivities. natives were hassling him about his armor, touching the smooth metal and trying to coax him to remove it. the only reason why VAVA didn't immediately snap into violence was because the subtle generation of that strange energy, that chroma, was oddly placating. placating to the point of disturbing, actually.

there wasn't much that put VAVA on edge like this, but the elevated interest coming from these people and the strange warmth of foreign energy seeping into his system was an unknown variable. VAVA didn't look to others for help, but it wouldn't be hard to see the 6-foot-something robot towering over people, wading through them like mud. ]

You really don't know when to give up, do you?

░▒▓█ a.

[ escaping the crowds with minor frustration was about as good of an outcome as he could hope for. his temper was rising, a coiled heat razing across his sensors as he stomped across the sands. he could just kill them all. he could. even if he didn't have his full output, he was strong enough to snap necks. he could incapacitate. he could crush them. but at the same time, that oft-ignored rationality supplied that even if he could, what good would it do? he'd still be stuck on some random planet, and he'd probably be deactivated to boot. normally, deactivation wasn't a big deal; annoying at best. but here? what hope did he have of finding a new body to inhabit? he didn't even know if his programming would be compatible.

well, whatever. all it meant was that he couldn't get his frustrations out the normal way. he'd have to find something else to ease his mind.

what better way than with alcohol?

the issue was that VAVA had no idea how familiar these spirits were to the ones back home. not that it mattered; his body broke down alcohol efficiently and little effect rolled over. getting drunk would bankrupt any bar. still, as he came across a beachside pub, VAVA took the chance to sit down, by himself, of course. he exhaled sharply, glancing around at the patrons. just as before, he stuck out horribly. his armor was hardly graceful. people were trying not to stare, but the keyword was "trying." VAVA scowled from under his visor, giving the closest person a low, rumbling growl. ]

What're you lookin' at?

Somewhere Beyond the Sea, Somewhere Waiting for Me

[ water really wasn't of much interest to him. sure, he could swim, breathe in it, but the novelty just wasn't there. there was no thrill, no risk of drowning, which he had to assume was half the fun for humans and whatnot. if he really wanted to, he could just start walking into the sea and hang out on the ocean floor. in fact, maybe he would; it'd be the one place these people (likely) couldn't reach him. ]

[ VAVA was, once again, looking as intimidating as possible, standing on a pier alone, arms crossed over his chest. the ocean looked the same as any other ocean he'd seen. nothing special. but it was the one thing that was familiar there.

not that he was uncomfortable, of course. being out of his element was child's play. but as he saw these humans thriving and playing and splashing each other in the water, all he could do was scowl bitterly.

they really didn't know how good they had it, did they? ]

Pathetic. [ of course, all this brooding and scowling left him open for "attack;" while VAVA certainly had noticed the strange increase of water activity, including people shoving each other into the ocean and pulling them in, the thought hadn't occurred to him that anyone would be stupid enough to attempt that with him.

probably a mistake. ]

Come Along and Ride on a Fantastic Voyage

[ after all was said and done, VAVA didn't really buy into the whole "gods" thing. sure, he'd endured a large manner of "existential crises" when it came to the concept of mortality and what that meant for him. but gods were never part of the equation.

so when that fox-looking one offered a chance to go home, VAVA didn't listen to fine print. because he took it as something rooted in science, not magic. and science could be modified. so he went into this "dimension X" (who named these things, anyway??) under the pretense that he could find whatever "limitations" were in place and adjust them to his needs. he was smart enough!

problem was, when he actually set foot in familiar territory, he noticed something wholly unfamiliar: some strange land or city interwoven with the irradiated desert of the eurasia crash site remnants and the pristine, sleek silhouette of the jakob orbital elevator in the far distance. ]

What the hell...?

[ whose city is that? perhaps it's yours? VAVA will certainly want answers from the closest person to have entered the portal alongside him, despite his normally standoffish nature. ]

Gonna Dress You Up in My Love

[ even if he wasn't native to this land, keigo was more than willing to participate in their traditions, especially if one of those traditions involved festivals. he liked to party as much as anyone else in amegahara, and he sort of felt a bit wistful about the cordis traits he no longer had. man, he felt much more liberated under the spell of that moonblessing than with iris...

well, this was a chance to try and recapture some of that magic, in a way! keigo certainly didn't need the influence of a moonblessing to motivate him to do... well, much of anything. he was a social lad, and he was determined to make the best of the celebrations! ]

░▒▓█ a.

[ dancing was always fun, right? keigo had no qualms about dancing around with the prismals, whether male or female. maybe that little trinket he bought from one of the shops was to blame for his boisterous flair to his movements, but anyone who knew keigo was privy to the truth: he was just like this. ]

Hey! C'mon! Don't just stand there, have some fun! [ whoever he was shouting at might find some hands placed on their wrist or shoulder, trying to gently, but urgently, coax them onto the dancing area. of course, he wouldn't force, but it was a celebration! ]

░▒▓█ b.

[ for as many people familiar with the dress code of this festival, keigo noticed there was a good portion who seemed to be fumbling with the yukata they were provided. usually, he'd leave it to a shopkeep to provide instruction, but maybe he took pity on one poor bastard (perhaps you?)... naturally, he wouldn't follow a girl into a dressing room, but he could still offer some help! ]

Hey, you good? Never wore one before? [ all while keigo wore his quite handsomely, the fabric shimmering a brilliant swirl of sky blue and grassy green. ]

Somewhere Beyond the Sea, Somewhere Waiting for Me

[ a spa sounded great after a night of partying and who knew what else. staying in a hotel room always had its luster and intrigue, but there was something even more luxurious about taking a dip in some purified waters and maybe taking a nice nap while someone catered to you. keigo was not shy about taking advantage of the situation and taking one of those magical baths, but for as much as he loved being in the water, there was something odd about being out of it. ]

[ well, the most obvious choice was to soak himself in the ocean. it was right there, after all. but on his way across the sand, he had the urge to bring someone along for the ride. he was feeling antsy, wanted to be in the ocean five minutes ago, but the idea of someone being there with him made it even better. so maybe someone's just trying to enjoy the view or relax for a minute, but sorry to say that they'd be treated to keigo interrupting them, looking oddly excited, whether he knew them or not. ]

Hey, you can swim, right? Come with me! [ round two of annoying people had begun. ]

Come Along and Ride on a Fantastic Voyage close cr only, unless otherwise plotted

[ it almost sounded too good to be true. keigo had already come to accept that getting out of this place was not going to be an easy task, nor would it likely be something he could control. so when that god appeared, offering up a chance to go home, to visit even for a moment, keigo couldn't help but be a bit skeptical. so sure, he'd go along with it. he'd get a bitter laugh out of the joke and then move on, more annoyed at himself for believing in it than anything else.

that is, until he saw his hometown.

keigo felt an anxious nausea roll his stomach into an unpleasant knot. there was no way this was real, right? the tall, lifeless buildings he'd grown so used to were suddenly so oppressive to behold, crammed together in tight rows while their lights started to flicker to life. it looked like dusk, or just about. maybe he'd come home just in time for dinner. ]

a. gonna make you feel my love
[Jean-Claude is but new to the city, and thus of course does not have his own yukata to wear to the festival. He's not certain he's ever worn a real yukata, in truth. Spending as much time in the vampire courts in France did not exactly lend itself to such attire, and then coming to America, in its youth... He has always been much more given to leather and lace than the fine wrap of a fabric he holds in his hands, though being a lover of clothes and fashion, he's willing to give just about anything a try.

In his hands the silk of the yukata has turned a deep, rich shade of blue. Dark as the night's sky above and decorated with pinpricks of stars to match. The color will of course compliment Jean-Claude's complexion, with his pale skin and dark curls, and match his eyes if one cares to get close enough to notice such things. Has the decision been made intentionally? Of course it has. Jean-Claude is nothing if not a vain person.

He manages to get it on well enough. The obi, however, is an entirely different matter. Lingering just outside the changing booths, he hopes to catch your eye with both his smile and his fine looks (if he says so himself).]

Might I trouble you for a helping hand, mon ami?

[Jean-Claude will be found later in the evening milling around the festival, poking curiously at the various carts of foods and drink somewhat wistfully. Perhaps he stands out among the crowd for the fact that he has not partaken in any of the offerings they have on-hand thus far? He certainly looks as though he wants to try them.]

b. come along and ride on a fantastic voyage
[Jean-Claude is wary of this fox's offer. A way to get back home to St. Louis? Temporarily, ah. Now there is the catch. He is fairly certain that Anita would have his skin if he were to bring another moonblessed home with him, after having disappeared so suddenly, only to disappear as mysteriously again. No, ma petite would just as soon he not return until he is certain that he will be able to stay for good.

The longer he lingers outside of the portal, however, the longer it seems that this decision may have been for the better. More and more the faces of those who stumble back from what had been sold as a pleasant visit home are wrought with emotions that are certainly anything but cheer, and Jean-Claude finds his curiosity getting the better of him. Stepping forward towards the latest moonblessed to stumble from the vortex, he reaches out a steadying hand.]

What has happened? You look as though you have seen a ghost.

[The ring's ability doesn't become clear to him immediately. It had been unceremoniously shoved onto his hand while he had been eyeing them and before he knew it, the heart throb was in his possession. The eye catching jewelry will, if anything, make a good gift on the next date he goes on.

But he wears it in the interim, dancing with whatever pretty little Prismal or Moonblessed he can sweet talk-a feat that manages to fill the chroma fueled ring on his hand in record time and makes him-

Approachable for sure. He's chattier than he tends to be, looser with his words and quick to rest a hand on someone's shoulder or their head if they get close to him. The bright orange haori around his body has a simple design-brilliant yellow sunflowers bordering the bottom of the hem. It occasionally switches into sandwiches or wine bottles or whatever his dancing partner may have been thinking about, but it always settles back into that design.

Regardless of who you are, he's just tipsy enough to to rest a hand on the shoulder of someone who idles too long near him as he watches the professional dancers make their debut.
]

The performers seem to have a natural gift for this. They're something to behold.

b

[The enticing offer to return to his world, however short-lived the time would be, had been a rough decision to make. He wasn't entirely sure it would work for him, but giving up was never an option. He would make it work for him. There are people he wanted to see and-

It did pull him through. Unexpectedly close to the last place he remembers calling home. To anyone that manages to either stumble upon him here or follow him in, they'll be met with the view of a seemingly small, private bit of land. Air Supplena Island looks imposing on the surface, but Caesar looks content moving around the training grounds. He pauses at the spike pit, walks around the edge of the island, settles down near a homegrown garden, and wanders through ancient, well maintained hallways.

There are two women he idles near. A blonde woman he exchanges soft, sweet words with-the casanova attitude he usually relies on not surfacing once as he speaks to her. At other times, he stands near a black-haired woman who's far less talkative. She doesn't say much, but Caesar hangs onto ever single word that falls out of her mouth with all too polite 'Yes, coach' and 'No, coach' and bowing deeply when she finishes her lectures.

It's like he never left. It's like they don't know and he's not sure how to begin unpacking what's happening here. If you pass by, you may hear him mutter-
]

Nothing's changed. This can't be right.

c

[All the joy he felt on Air Supplena vanishes when four small children meet his gaze on the streets of Venice. The children are eager to see him-yelling and laughing and crying as they cling to his clothes in an all too familiar way. It makes his heart drop to the pit of his stomach and a surge of anger rushes through his body with such intensity as his previous thoughts are confirmed.

It's all fake.

It's fake because they're too young. Because they're acting like they were only separated for a few hours and not the years he knows it to be. They ask him if he found anything to eat and where's dad? and-

He tries to settle them down, even with anger brimming on the edge of his tongue. Even though he wants to wipe this away because he knows now that this is some foul trickery from the beast that promised the impossible, but-

He's never been able to deny them and when his 'Quiet down' has more bite than he intends-causing the cluster of small children tense up beside him, he tries to steady his voice. Fake or not, seeing them again-

His hands rest on the heads of the two younger boys in front of him and he lowers down so the youngest girl can jump onto his back, wrapping her small hands around his neck. She settles against him like she's auditioning to be a superhero's cape and he raises up slowly so she doesn't fall. His height seems to delight her and she wastes no time in lording her tiny power over the two boys who move behind Caesar to mess with her feet. It's what siblings do and Caesar doesn't bother to scold them. The little girl manages to scramble up to his shoulders and makes faces at her brothers when they can no longer reach her.

He does a mental count and, noting one of the girls is missing, he looks to see her talking to-

Whoever's nearby. She's being way too friendly with strangers-a lesson he remembers imparting on her after their father left and another confirmation on how fake this is. If your character looks at her, she'll comment-

PROMPTS

A. DRESS YOU UP
Malcolm’s been enjoying this little vacation in Amegahara. After spending the day shopping amongst the booths (and a purchase of some beautiful pearl glass lowballs), he is convinced by the locals to don the special Chromawear yukata. When in Rome, right? It’s pretty comfortable, though kind of looks like a bathrobe on him.

He stands on the sidelines watching the people on the dancefloor, feeling like he’s back at one of his high school dances. The thing is, Malcolm’s a pretty decent dancer and he actually enjoys dancing. He just hates the awkward social aspect of it all, having to ask someone to dance and the worry of being rejected. Even though he isn’t 15 anymore and he’s not a pariah here due to his father’s deeds, the hesitation still lingers.

Malcolm glances down at his yukata and notices that the pattern is turning into a pair of people dancing together, repeated over and over again down the cloth. Subtle much? He sighs, gathers some courage, and turns to the person next to him.

“Would you like to dance?”

B. BEYOND THE SEA
Going to a spa sounds like something that his mother would mandate as part of his “wellness” and he balks at the idea of it at first. All of his training for the Moon Knights has left him feeling a bit tense and his muscles a bit sore though, so he decides to at least have a look at the spa and see what it has to offer.

One dip in the baths and he’s in heaven. Whatever’s in the water leaves him feeling relaxed and happy to the point where he just has to extoll its virtues to whomever happens to pass by, encouraging them to join him.

“I promise you, it feels amazing,” he tells someone with a grin as they stop at the edge of the bath. Malcolm folds his bare arms and rests them on the edge of the bath. “Join me?” He’s been told he can do a very convincing puppy-eyed look when he wants to.

C. FANTASTIC VOYAGE
When Malcolm hears that Vulpus has enabled it so that they can visit their homes, he’s excited to go. Being in Lunatia has been a nice break, but it’s time for him to get back to his work. He hopes he can get a case in while he’s there. At the very least, he wants to check up on how things have been since he left. His father was in the hospital, and since Malcolm was the one to put him there, he wonders if everybody thinks he’s been on the run.

He returns out of the portal about a half hour later, shaking and angry. The familiar symptoms of a panic attack start to take over and he feels like he can’t breathe. Malcolm takes a seat at the first place he finds near the portal and puts his head in his trembling hands before nervously running them through his hair.

When he sees someone heading towards the portal, he holds out a hand and calls to them. “Don’t!. I-It’s a trick… it’s not real!” Everything back home had seemed just right… until one huge thing wasn’t.

Fox On The Run

A. ɢᴏɴɴᴀ ᴅʀᴇss ʏᴏᴜ ᴜᴘ ɪɴ ᴍʏ ʟᴏᴠᴇ

[ Amid the rise and fall of tents and blue lanterns is a cozy little stall, dipped in blue hues and lined with white paper talismans. One (1) Rokurou Rangetsu, dressed in only a royal purple yukata and a pair of sandals, sits on the counter beside a square box with a small, round hole on top, casually fanning himself with a paper fan.

The booth sign reads OMIKUJI, 5 DEMICHROMA. ]

Interested in your fortune? [ he might be only subbing in for the usual person who does this, but it's worth a bottle of sake to spend an hour or two nursing a booth and offering fortunes— ] It's easy. All you have to do is draw a stick and tell me what number's on it.

[ Fortunes range from numbers 1 - 150; what kind of luck will you end up with courtesy of an omikuji random generator? ]

B. sᴏᴍᴇᴡʜᴇʀᴇ ʙᴇʏᴏɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ sᴇᴀ

[ How long ago did he get into this bath?

Two hours? Three? Rokurou can't remember anymore. It's been so long that he's gone pruny, feels dehydrated, vaguely lightheaded, and it's amazing. The last time he went into some springs ended up awkwardly all around—this time it feels like he's on cloud nine. Dying in this bath sounds like a good plan. Because there is only this bath, and nothing else. It's magic on his muscles, music tickling his scars, and comfort to his weary bones.

Long story short: it's got him in a good mood. Enough that he's even broken open a bottle of some fine sake to have while in the bath, happily sipping from a small cup. ]

Want some? [ happy enough to generously offer some sake to whatever poor companion is in the shared bath with him, ] It's good.
