I think that sounds perfect. Especially cuz during the zany approach in the very beginning, Zuko will probs be approaching his angst coma, so at some point early on he'll stay in bed for almost a week as such an emotional wreck that he becomes physically ill, and then Tamaki could notice that and will calm down like you say, maybe bring him water or whatever. then when i come in with him properly, it'll be more his breath of fresh air "ok i have somewhat dealt with this situation in my mind by now, i am leaving my bedroom" moment. ...and then can be immediately confronted by hikaru upon rejoining the world so lmao that'll be fun. i'm stoked.
