Welcome to Prismatica, a panfandom sex-friendly sci-fi/fantasy game for you to hopefully indulge in all of your RP needs. Here are some important things to keep track of this upcoming month and the beginning of next:

Our next event will start on July 24th, but you are free to backdate and backlog for as long as you need. The OOC plotting post will be going up on prismaticaooc on July 23rd!

We will not be making an official log for the event. Instead, we encourage others to post their top-levels or links to relevant network/log posts on the upcoming event post. However, we ask that you refrain from RPing on the OOC community. The event post will merely serve as a directory for all player posts related to the event. Please see last month's OOC event post for reference.

Whether or not you want to keep TDM threads canon is up to you! You may also handwave your character’s initial arrival so they can plunge directly into plot things if you wish.

Please look at our calendar for reference as to when moon cycles fall! Since it is something that will happen regularly, we will not have a log up for that, but your characters can react accordingly via the network or in their own logs if you wish. There might be times when the moonblessings overlap with events, so please keep that in mind. If you would like more information on the moonblessings, please read the moonblessing page. For any additional questions, feel free to drop us a line on the FAQ.

Kuwabara's just gonna be a hater for a while and approach with begrudging tolerance. He hasn't forgotten that Shishi insulted him (a lot!!) and then dumped him through another dimension. Extremely rude!

But definitely looking forward to all of it!

duuude ngl stalking your kuwabara (and also Kurama, whose journal is fucking 𝒟𝑜𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓜𝓸𝓼𝓽 lol where is he) cemented the awakening of my long-standing inner Shishi muse lol. Kuwabara's voice over the network in particular is just so spot-on, his texting style is so convincing lol! I also love your icons' aesthetic, those also inspired me for Shishi's icons to some degree — did you color them yourself? So clean!

Shishi's def feeling similarly to Kuwabara haha. He didn't even necessarily align himself with Team Urameshi in the Makai Tournament, anyway — more like Kurama dragged Suzuki into it, and Suzuki dragged Shishi into it, and Shishi just kinda goes with whatever Suzuki's doing lol... So given this impartial disposition, I'm really interested to see how things develop between Shishi and the three of y'all, cuz it's not impossible they could become more friendly over time, even if it's still very teasing and tongue-in-cheek. His value in people is so much based on how good they are at fighting, and since Kuwabara has improved so much since they fought in the Dark Tournament, I think eventually sparring could really improve Shishi's opinion of him! Enough that he can forgive his "inferior face," at least, maybe hehehe... Since Shishiwaka's such a neutral, "Swiss" character, and so snide and keen on banter like we've been doing so far, I'm actually really interested to see what positive dynamics could develop between him and Kuwabara and Kurama and Hiei. His thread with Hiei so far is uh surprisingly cordial. Kuwabara's the only one he has significant interaction with in canon, so I'm super stoked to play that out with you with full flexibility. Whatever you think of for the two of them, I'm 100% down and sooo excited to continue threading with you, such good vibes! Your Kuwa is totally on point. Shounen hero dynamite!! ☆

It's been several years since I've rewatched/reread Yu Yu Hakusho completely, as a disclaimer. It's a series that stays close in my heart for a decade and a half wowowow, and I have an unusually strong memory for it compared to any other series, but jic I fudge some details (esp toward the ending arc, oop), please forgive me!! I refreshed on pertinent Shishi-related appearances, but it's such a long series and I'm rewatching other shows for studying purposes too, but Yuuhaku is on the list soon, I swear!!

Having seen the first season is definitely enough to know what you're dealing with!! Of course I'm extremely biased, but I think it's so worthwhile to watch the whole thing since the animation gets better and prettier each season, and the final big arcs are so dramatic and exciting..!

But no pressure, obviously. We can always fill each other in on anything!

i've been rping souji for a long while but only a year ago or so had the courage to app him to games.

oh my! yu yu hakusho has a special place in my heart since my high school days. i would love for them to meet (hi to you too lol!). he needs people who can understand his spunkiness XD

it was really hard for me to let my manga volumes go, I only kept one series (Paradise Kiss, my favorite ever, another unique and special shoujo with a gorgeous art style, which I also role-played from for years my typical character is already taken here ahhhh miwako what), but it's only five volumes long. I travel and move around a lot so I'm tryna get on that Marie Kando-level shit lol. I consoled myself saying Kaze Hikaru I can always find online for free if I wanna reread — which now that Souji's on my radar here, lol, I probs will! :)

Glad to have him, thanks for blessing us with your chutzpah~ Souji's a really well-written character, I remember he was my favorite in the series by far. It'll be a nice nostalgic kick to play with him! I was also big on Yu Yu Hakusho as a teen lol, back in the LJ rp heyday. I've always had a soft spot for Shishi (my very first rp character was his gay clown bff Suzuki back when I was in high school too lol, legit like 13-15 years ago wow throwback) but I've never played Shishi, so this will be an adventure for me too hehe.

Shishi can def appreciate Souji's spunkiness ☆ Kinda softens his rough edges, he can feed off that vibe well. Shishi can help him adjust to weird futuristic technology bull shit, since he can empathize with that shock, having been through it himself a couple hundred years ago in the same time period. So they can do... traditional... old-timey... japanese-y things lol...? lol tea. and sword fight for funsies/chroma maybe? Shishi's obvs stronger cuz he's a demon uh, haha, but if he takes a liking to Souji even tho he's human, he would probs find it fun to spar with him (and take it easy on him with a mutual understanding as swordsmen of course), just for bonding together or for a lil extra fun money for them both! def have lots of options here!

think i've seen you, as you stated in your ooc intro, in marina asylum. i also played there with another character (damn, more than a decade, i feel old!). i'm also a fan of ai yazawa, my favorite mangas are nana and kage no tsuki. also see myself as a minimalist but my licensed and japanese favorite mangas are the ones i would never donate nor sell lol! if you do read more kaze hikaru, better do so as fast as possible because they enjoy taking it down from sites >:T

shishi is invited to cling to traditional and old-timey customs, and of course for souji to welcome modernity since he doesn't know any better. definitely will need a sparring friend because he wouldn't let himself stay idle with swordplay. shishi being a demon will be like a challenge for him he's going to enjoy! (and who would say no to pocket money?)

Waaah really, you were at Marina with me? Cool! Wow such a fun game, so many great relationships IC and OOC! Miwako and Sanji from One Piece falling in love and not being able to pursue the relationship cuz Miwako was loyal to Arashi, wow it was so drama lol. Who did you play at Marina? Maybe I remember you too!

Where do you read manga/think I can find Kaze Hikaru online?

It's been SO long since I read the series that I can only be impressed with you, don't worry hahaha. Plus if he's someone you've been keeping close to your heart and finally bringing to the public, I think that's a good sign you've got your finger on the pulse.

If they spar, I probably won't allow Shishi to use his youkai-y tricks on Souji. He has a sword that spits voracious skulls that eat people indiscriminately, but thankfully it only can do that when his life is threatened by his opponent's strength, and no offense Souji lol but it probs won't be, he's ranked really high in the like weird demon power "scoring system" in place in Yuuhaku. So when they fight, the sword will just be a normal sword. He can turn into a little imp and fly around with a tiny sword lol so sometimes he fights like that, that'd be the extent of youkai powers he'll use against Souji. He's unfortunately pretty condescending toward humans (and everyone, hah) so he probs won't be taking their practice seriously, just treat it as an easy activity to hang out together most likely.

It shows the four main guys growing up and the things they grow through. There are a lot of mafia overtones. Jian Yi gets kidnapped once and then spends a long time with a bodyguard following him around to keep him safe. They deal with the normal pains of being young and learning who they are, etc. Most of the chapters are happier because they end up becoming a band. lmao. Ohhh. A stylish glamorous guy. Jian Yi is down. Those are his vibes. I think he'd like Shishi.

Hi Kato! I'm super happy you apped Joshua in after threading with him; I was Michiru on the TDM. I'll be bringing her in next month hopefully to pester him some more, but in the meantime I'd totally love to throw Akira at him.
