Regarding Player Reports
▶ Reporting Player Concerns
Over the course of the game's opening, we've received several player complaints and reports containing insufficient information. We'd like to remind our players that reports without evidence cannot be acted upon by the mods. Please refer to the examples below:
BAD: Me and everyone else hate Player X so they should be banned! They also did this one thing in Game Y 12 years ago, which I still hate them for. I will not give proof, but you can Google their name to see if I'm right (which I am).
GOOD: I am writing a formal complaint about Player X's behavior. They have made me and several others uncomfortable with how they approached us regarding issue A. Here is a screenshot of our conversation about issue A, and the thread where the issue began.
The first example does not give us proof within the scope of the game and is hard for us to act upon. The second is actionable, as everything we need to know about the situation is present in the complaint filed. We are only able to act upon behavior within the scope of our game. Any actions we've taken thus far have been based on multiple reports after someone has been in our game.
Please be reminded that we take player privacy and comfort seriously and will not disclose any identities of anybody who wishes to file a report, even if no action arises from it. The player who filed the report will be told what the result of their report would be, if any.
Likewise, players who have received a warning or strike will be informed of such, but we take care to word these in a way so that it cannot be linked back to any individual as much as possible.
