Lunatia Charity Ball: Moonblessed Date Auction and Silent Auction Bidding
Lunatia Charity Auction Ball
Hello, Prismatica! With the 11th upon us, all Moonblessed Date Auction Sign-Ups and submissions for Silent Auction Donations have been closed! THis means bidding on Moonblessed Date Auctions and Silent Auction Items has officially opened!Below the cut is information regarding how the bidding process works. At the end of the page, there is a link to the bidding page, and everyone's Moonblessed Date Auction Comments, along with the Silent Auction items.
Moonblessed Date Auction Bidding
The Moonblessed Date Auction is a silent auction held during the charity ball itself. Hologram busts of those who've volunteered (or been signed up) to participate will display over a tablet where people looking to bid on winning a date with that Moonblessed can make their bid.
When is the Moonblessed Date Auction closed OOCly?By timestamps, at 23:59 (11:59 PM) GMT April 15th.Are there any limitations on who can bid on who in the date auction?Yes. ICly, teenagers are encouraged to bid on fellow teenagers, while adults are encouraged to bid on fellow adults. OOCly, please respect what's written in each character's OOC Restrictions in their bid comment. How do we bid on a date?
All currently under 18 characters should have a blue tile background; all 18+ should have a darker wheat background. Many adults are willing to go on platonic outings with teenagers under 18, just check those listed OOC Restrictions!Respond directly to an individual Moonblessed's Charity Date Auction comment with the Dating Bid Comment form. The Moonblessed's Charity Date Auction comment lists their image, name, username, canon, IC info blurb, and OOC Restrictions. Can our characters bid on behalf of another player's character?
Please do not respond with a bid to any other character's posted bid. Only respond to the top comment for that Moonblessed to bid.Yes, if you have permission from other player. For example, Character A can bid on Character M for Character S, if the player of Character A asked the player of Character S if this is okay. Can we RP on the bidding post? No. Part of the Dating Bid Comment will include an optional link to where characters may react ICly to a placed bid. Please move all RP responses to a bid out of the bidding post. How are winners decided?OOCly. Bidding closes OOCly on April 15th, 23:59 GMT. Bids for any character can be closed earlier by their player either stating one of the bid comments in response to their character's Charity Auction comment is the winner, by a seventh bid being placed and no other bid being declared the winner by the time bidding closes, or with the final bid placed for a character by the time bidding closes. How many bids can be placed per character?
Players can also claim an NPC has won their character's date auction if it suits RP purposes. Rule of fun is in place here!
After the Date Auction closes, players whose characters were bid on should contact the winning bidder on the OOC post, by DM, or by whichever contact method is preferred. Date Auction Winners will not be contacted by the event runner, only Silent Auction Winners. There will be a maximum of 7 OOC bids placed per character. This is to keep OOC bidding organised. ICly, bids can be stated to have gone on for any number. At the time where bidding is closed, the last bid placed will be the winning bid if the player of the character bid on has not declared otherwise. Should no bids be placed by PCs, then NPCs will have won the bidding. Can I end bidding for my character early?Yes. If you would like to end your character's bidding on any particular bid, comment to your character's thread stating whose bid you're calling as the final bid.
Please respect a player's choice of a final bid. They're not obliged to wait for seven bids, nor are they obliged to accept the current final bid should they wish to accept one placed earlier, for whatever reason. We're all busy! We can't always comment in a timely manner.
Silent Auction Bidding
The silent auction consists of gift certificates, packages, or goods which are silently bid on during the evening of the charity auction ball. Each item is either present or has a visual representation of the item present, with an associated tablet for people to use for placing bids.
ICly, the silent auction will be running over the course of the charity ball, and will close the hour before the ball officially ends.
When is the Silent Auction closed OOCly?By timestamps, at 23:59 (11:59 PM) GMT April 15th.How do I have my character bid on an item?Fill out the Auction Bid Comment form and paste it in a comment replying directly to the item you wish for your character to bid on.How are winners determined for Silent Auction items?
Your character can be bidding under their name, or another name, but the player posting their bid to the Silent Auction item will be notified of the win. What you do from there is up to you!Once the Silent Auction closes...Can we RP on the bidding post?
If there is only one of an item, the winner will be randomised from the people who left a Bid Comment on that item. If there are a specific, limited number of that item available, and more people leave Bid Comments than there are available items, winners will be randomised. If there are "many" of an item, all those who leave a Bid Comment will win that item.
All auction winners will be announced on the OOC post where the Silent Auction items are listed after the Silent Auction closes. (So after 23:59 GMT on April 15th.) Winners will receive a comment to their bid indicating they won.No. Part of the Auction Bid Comment will include an optional link to where characters may react ICly to a placed bid. Please move all RP responses to a bid out of the bidding post.
