▶ Warnings and Strikes
As we come to our first anniversary this March, the mod team have been sprucing and cleaning up things behind the scenes because sometimes you look behind a shelf and realized you dropped something there from a year ago. With that, we have refined our warnings and strike system after some unfortunate incidents in the past year.
It is unfortunate when some members of our community decide that they don't want to be excellent to one another. There have been instances where players have abused our relaxed system for their own ends, at the expense of the community. The mod team takes seriously the comfort and safety of our players and we wish to foster a fun environment for everyone. Just to reiterate:
Prismatica runs on a three strikes system. If you get three strikes, you are banned from the game permanently.
We also issue warnings, which are when a player has done actions that we consider detrimental but have not broken any rules. Warnings may be upgraded to strikes if no improvement is seen regarding said behavior.
These are the following areas that are affected.
Strikes & Warnings
- If you receive your first strike, you will still be able to app and reserve as normal. If you receive a second strike, you will not be able to app or reserve for two app periods from when the strike is issued.
Applications
- Abuses of our app system are also subject to strikes and warnings. If we feel that a player is gaming our apps system, we shall be issuing strikes and warnings. This can involve, but isn't limited to: persistently submitting apps with missing or lacking information for extra time, apping and dropping as a way to avoid AC, etc.
Activity
- We will be issuing warnings and strikes to players who persistently idle out of the game without any extenuating circumstances. After two idles, we will be issuing a warning. After three idles, we will issue a strike. Please note that this only refers to idling out of the game and not to dropped characters.
- We also take abuses of our relaxed activity check system seriously. Players who are found to be abusing our activity system will be issued a warning or a strike dependent on the severity of the infraction. Examples include but not limited to consistently posting the wrong links in order to gain extra time, not linking ac length threads, apping and dropping to avoid ac etc.
Please note that we do not issue warnings and strikes lightly. We only issue them as a last resort to players who are taking advantage of the community and mod team's good will and relaxed atmosphere of the game. Every warning and strike is looked over by several members of the mod team before being issued.

▶ Hiatuses
We have implemented a change to our hiatus rules to accommodate player feedback.
Per the former rules, players who were on hiatus for two weeks or more during the month would be exempt from that month's activity check. Those who put up hiatuses that were two weeks in length but ended in another month could be considered invalid.
From this point on as long as the hiatus is at least two weeks in length, the AC exemption will count for the month that the hiatus is longest in.
Example 1: A player submits a hiatus for March 28 through April 11. With 3 days of the hiatus occurring in March and 11 days in the month of April, this means the month of April would count as the AC exemption hiatus and the player cannot take a hiatus in May. The player would still need to submit AC for March.
Example 2: A player submits a hiatus for March 20 through April 3. With 11 days of the hiatus occurring in March and 3 days in the month of April, this means the month of March would count as the AC exemption hiatus and the player cannot take a hiatus in April. The player would still need to submit AC for April.
Example 3: A player submits a hiatus for March 24 through April 7. With 7 days of the hiatus occurring in March and 7 days in the month of April, this would be a circumstance that the player would need to use the Mod Contact post for further discussion before the AC exemption can be applied.
With these changes, please note that there will be a new addition to the form asking for AC exemption or not. Those who have submitted hiatuses for the month of March should edit their forms appropriately.
Please note that retroactive hiatsues still cannot be made, and be careful regarding when the hiatus is submitted based on timezones.
If there are any other issues, please direct your concerns to the Mod Contact. Those who impose rules contrary to this on other players will receive a strike. Please be reminded of the game rules and be mindful of the community.
