Heads up, gamers! The League Match Action Online (LmaO) finals are finally underway, drawing a full house to the Elaran Amphitheater, which has been transformed into an impressive VR arena for the event. Moonblessed will find digital VIP tickets on their device as a gift from the generous and excitable Queen Elara, who has successfully made it to the finals. She hopes you will attend to cheer everyone on! 😘

Indeed, that is an emoji on an official letter from the palace.

It’s Time to D-D-D-Duel
1/24 | Level 1, Elaran Amphitheater | top

Made to the finals? Great job! You will receive a good luck message from the Queen. All competitors will be provided state of the art headsets from the Lunar Scientia and customized jumpsuits with your team colors and emblem to wear as you duke it out against the strongest and most skilled LmaO players in Lunatia and Lyestellus.

LmaO is often called the city's unofficial pastime and it shows in the sheer size of the crowds. Myriads of LmaO and Moonblessed fans gather in excitement, many of them dying for your autograph —- and an in-game friend request! If you're not a player at this point, your fans will most likely invite you to experience its charm. After all, there’s a fun feature for everyone in LmaO!

A  The VIP tickets will give you access to the luxurious Elaran skybox, which is known for having the best view of the entire stadium. Any Moonblessed unable to attend can still watch from the comfort of their apartment, as the public esports channel will be livestreaming the matches and other ongoing events in the amphitheater.

The amphitheater also has many eye-catching stalls set up across the lobby: snacks, refreshments, massages, gourmet catering, and more. Buwan from B.S. has opened up a betting stall, where you can bet on your favorite players for fun. Popular bets include Queen Elara herself and last year’s reigning Prismal champions, the Fidget Spinners. Despite the popularity of the Moonblessed teams, as the underdogs of this tournament, their odds don't look so good… Are you ready to prove the numbers wrong?

While the competition is underway, both viewers and participants may notice a few strange distortions on the large screens around the venue and on smaller screens broadcasting the livestreams. Static seems to erupt during particularly powerful moves as colors start to blur into one another. A strange face flashes on the screen, gone before you can blink. Whispers in an otherworldly language assail your senses, echoing an incantation over and over in your mind. No Prismal can hear this. Something is amiss. As time goes on, the strange face will appear more frequently and grow more pronounced, showing the features of a seraphim adorned with a lion mask, an image that may be familiar to a few of you.

The seraphim's eyes are like globes of the night sky. Stare into them long enough and it will suddenly feel as if the sky had swallowed you whole. You feel yourself falling from a great height, helpless as you plummet down what feels like an infinite abyss.

You close your eyes.
B  You awaken in an unfamiliar room, resting on a large, soft bed. There’s someone else lying next to you, perhaps intimately spooning you, perhaps a face you don’t recognize at all. They claim they're a Moonblessed just like you, and you don't believe it until you glance down at your own body — it’s not your own. It’s not the different clothes that alarm you. No, your hand might be bigger than normal or maybe your hair is shorter than usual. Perhaps in a panic, you get up to head to the bathroom and check the mirror, and that’s when they stir: a centipede or two crawling out from under your pillow. Yes, you are permitted to scream a little.

RPG Simulator 2.0
1/25 - 1/30 | Capital City Abraxas, Kingdom of Merkab | top

Street lamps fueled by oil, rustic horse carriages, noisy run-down taverns, and the scent of the air tell you that you are no longer in Lunatia. Ask any swordsman or mage in the area and they will say that you are in the fictional, war-ravaged Kingdom of Merkab, located to the east of the sprawling griffin capital, Abraxas.

Sound familiar? Those who know of LmaO’s latest event might recognize the name. If you’re not in the finals, you might wonder: how did you end up here? And if you were in the middle of a match, you might wonder if the game glitched out. During your investigation, you notice there’s a floating, translucent box of words and numbers following you: a small menu displaying your stats, strengths and weaknesses and nothing else. Unfortunately, you won't find a log-out button here.

Your character avatar is a Level 1 adventurer dressed in rags of various states of decency. You only have 1 gold coin and a weapon that hits monsters like peanuts. Locals think you're new in town, or that they've never heard of you before. Hell, they’ve never even heard of Prismatica!

Regardless of the situation, they suggest you start earning some gold to feed and clothe yourself, and they direct you to the nearest adventurer’s guild. Without a known way out, you might as well take their advice before you starve on the cold streets. At the guild, the front desk can show you some available help requests.

My Babies!   Lady Lamarelle’s prized white tigris cubs have been snatched by aggressive carnivorous gremlins. In order to retrieve the cubs, you must traverse the Cursed Cavern of Mordeus to slay the gremlins before they cook and eat the poor cubs. Beware, their claws are laced with poison, and those scratched will be paralyzed without any immediate antidotes or healing. The gremlins are snatchers, so they will not hesitate to steal or rip away gear, clothes, gold, or anything eye-catching: including you or your companion!

Rewards 💫 A white tigris cub minion, 1000 gold, and a formal invitation to the Royal Banquet.

Fair Maiden   Ser Ballinore is requesting that a love letter be delivered to his favorite lover, Mina. She is a beautiful dancer in Merkab’s premier bordello called the Dancing Swan. Ser Ballinore will provide outfits for you and your companion to disguise and sneak into the bordello. Do your best to blend in with the dancers and avoid suspicion. Should you fail and be caught, expect to be roughed up quite terribly by the bordello’s bouncers.

Rewards 💫 A purple dancer’s outfit, 1000 gold, and a formal invitation to the Royal Banquet.

The Royal Banquet? The locals know nothing about it. They've never been to one before! It might be worth attending to find the answers yourself. This might be the key to your escape.

Over the next few days, you are welcome to explore the city and try to find other ways to earn gold. Rob a shopkeeper, join a brothel, hunt monsters outside town, or go into houses and break jars.

I Can Be Your Angle or Yuor Devil
1/31 | Royal Merkabian Castle, Abraxas and 1/24 | Level 1, Elaran Amphitheater | top

The day of the Royal Banquet at the looming Merkabian castle arrives. Upon arrival, you will be escorted by Merkabian knights. They will guide you to your table in the great dining hall, which is filled to the brim with rich wine, towering cakes that nearly touch the ceiling, an extremely luscious buffet, and grandiose symphonic music. Aside from the knights and servants, no one else seems to be around.

Midway through the feast, trumpets will sound as a red velvet curtain is slowly pulled aside by attendants to reveal a tall seraphim with striking golden hair, his face obscured behind a familiar lion mask as he lounges upon a majestic throne while being fanned by scantily clad lion men. The seraphim will introduce himself as King Majestas and will soon address those present:

King Majestas

Have you grown tired of these paltry parlor games? I offer you a true test of wills. What if I said I could release you from this world? I would like to propose an exchange.

Would you free me from these shackles which imprison me?

You only need to tell me your true desires.

Something tells you not to trust him, but Majestas knows the desire in your heart. For an instant, you see what you desire and realize that it cannot be found here. It only takes a single Moonblessed who wishes to leave to release him. And in a moment, a white-winged cane appears in his hands. With it, he strikes the ground. Waves of the intense impact reverberate throughout the digital world…

When you come to, you're back in the amphitheater on the day of the LmaO finals. Majestas, now free from his digital prison, transforms into a colossal entity as he looms over the screaming crowds, his shining wings spread while blinding light gleams from his gold-trimmed body.

A  A gigantic halo appears above the amphitheater and starts searing through the structure little by little. Every speaker in the venue loudly blares, ordering an emergency evacuation. With the aid of the Moon Knights, everyone inside and near the arena will be forced to exit immediately. Avoid catching a glimpse of the halo or expect to be temporarily blinded by its burning brightness. Depending on the severity, the blindness could last from an hour to a day. Beware of falling debris and assist both fellow Moonblessed and the Prismals safely out.

B  As the evacuation occurs, some of the spectators remaining on the seats of the amphitheater, including Prismals or any confused Moonblessed (that were not previously spirited away) may suddenly be pierced with wings upon wings, sprouting from their own bodies. Every wing causes excessive bleeding and will leave victims in agonizing pain. They might also be seized by a madness that urges them to act on their deepest, most violent desires, causing them to lash out in anger, lust, or sorrow. Only the touch of an unaffected Moonblessed will dissipate the wings and cause them to recede.

As the amphitheater crumbles from the attack, Majestas will speak once more to the terrified crowds:

King Majestas

I will spare this city for now. Consider this a generous exchange for releasing me. Next time, I may not be so kind.

He will then wrap himself in his wings and disappear into the light.

Tonight, the news headlines will feature topics such as who is King Majestas, when will he return, and what is he after. Despite all the discussions, nobody knows. The news also announces that the LmaO finals are canceled in response to the tragedy and the Elaran Amphitheater will temporarily close and undergo construction for the next several weeks.

NOTES
Please refer to the FAQ (Technology) for information about LmaO before asking questions.

Prismals and any remaining Moonblessed in Lunatia will neither not experience nor have knowledge about the time which passed for those spirited away (1/25 - 1/31). This is because in the real time, no time has passed. Due to these circumstances, the spirited away Moonblessed will be unable to send and receive network messages in the fake world.

Your mysterious LmaO avatar will have a completely original background and new appearance separate from your character’s. They may have a fictitious digital spouse or be married to another of the Moonblessed avatars. In addition, moonlacing will NOT work, but nothing’s stopping them from still doing it. This is all temporary for this event only and specific to the prompts playing as the mysterious avatar.

The room in Prompt I-B is where your LmaO avatar currently stays. It’s a cheap, run-down inn room that costs 5 gold to stay per night. You have to pay this fee or you’ll be kicked out to the streets. Once you earn enough gold, you’re free to stay in better inns with more luxurious rooms.

Your LmaO avatar will need to eat and sleep properly. Avoiding meals or rest will cause the avatar to eventually collapse and respawn at your inn room. Food and drinks cost range about 2 to 500 gold and above, depending on the type and quality.

There is no penalty for dying repeatedly in the fake world, aside from completely feeling the experience. Your LmaO avatar will always respawn in your current inn room as if nothing happened.

There is no dress code for the Royal Banquet. You can attend wearing your best or worst armor.

After escaping the fake world, if you’ve been rewarded with the white tigris cub minion and/or the purple dancer’s outfit, they can be found in your character’s real LmaO inventory.

It is OOCly up to you to keep or wipe off the leveling progress you made in the fake world. If you wish to keep them, the character’s real LmaO avatar will instantly receive the updated levels, including the skills and abilities they learned.
