Player Event | alucard's depression is so powerful you guys
Alucard's been up to some shenanigans for the past several months. After his rather unfortunate experience after his canon update, he's become quite a bit obsessive in grasping and holding onto the bit of happiness he has obtained in Prisma. After observing how chroma is used, experimenting with said chroma as well as his own understanding of magic, and also planning with books he's obtained from Dracula's library, Alucard believes he has been able to succeed in opening something known as the Infinite Corridor in order to ensure he never returns to his own world.
And in a way, he's not totally wrong.
The Infinite Corridor is technically a method of "travel"; think of it in terms of a long psychadelic hallway that connects to, well, everything. Every world, dimension, reality, and so on. It'd probably sound great if it didn't also connect directly to Hell.
So. You're a depressed, arrogant barely an adult half-vampire who thinks he can control a gateway to literally infinite possibilities. It could only go wrong. And boy, it will!
There are a few things that may happen:
- A symbol becomes burned into your residence's door. Sadly, it's not just random vandalism; if your door has this symbol, you might find yourself almost lethally drained of chroma and will need some emergency moonlacing to get yourself back on your feet.
- It's October, so you know, gotta have some demons. Castlevania is full of them, but don't limit yourself! Come up with your own, or maybe pull a horrible beast that's from your character's own canon. Go nuts and fight some monsters!
- You want some other creepy shenanigans, am I right? You're in the right place: your character might just notice that their reflection isn't quite behaving right. Well, that's because they have the case of a doppelganger. Your character's doppelganger could either hold all of your character's worst traits, or the exact opposite of them. Either way, doppelgangers aren't really around for your benefit, and will be looking to cause some mischief at best and ruining some lives at worst. Trick or treat indeed.
The event will kick off this weekend on the 17th semi-officially, but don't feel the need to wait on me! In addition, please feel free to use this post to plot stuff out or ask questions.
