otonashi can absolutely do that, which is exactly the kind of interaction I was hoping for! canonically, he has given validation and support to an antagonist who went on a killing spree against his friends (it’s cool, death doesn’t stick for them but still). so yes, he can and will do exactly that if you’re down for it ❤️
