That sounds like a great hook for a first meeting. She likes plants in general, so that would be something for them to talk about. Healing properties would catch her interest too, since she doesn't have any healing skills or magic. She just, you know. Stabs things and summons monsters at them.

Winter's thing with magic is... Okay, so in her canon, "magic" is believed to be a myth, but there are four designated individuals who can wield it, and when they die they pass on that ability to the last young woman in their thoughts. Winter was basically being groomed to be one of those inheritors, but things went wrong and the power was passed to someone else (an ally), and Winter got her ass kicked by someone who had those powers. So she has nothing personal against magic users, and would be curious about how it works, but she'd also kind of want to know how to defend against it. Only 'kind of' because she knows memories don't transfer so training is pretty meaningless. Still, he sounds like he's gregarious and friendly (where Winter is emotionally sealed off and militaristic), so the contrast could make for a fun friendship. Tell her magic stories.
